  • Patent number: 11306800
Abstract: A speed and torque optimizer for a drive train includes an input shaft coupled with a primary driver having a pinion gear thereon that engages an input ring gear. The input ring gear is affixed to a first end of a carrier shaft having an output ring gear on an opposing end. The output ring gear engages an output pinion gear mounted on an output shaft. The input ring gear is larger in diameter than the output ring gear and therefore has more teeth. Because the input and output ring gears are mounted on the same shaft, they rotate at the same speeds thereby rotating the output pinion gear at a faster speed than the input pinion gear. The intermeshing gear teeth have a predefined curvature, pitch diameter and length to further accomplish increased speed at the output shaft while minimizing torque loss.

  • Patent number: 8453532
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for setting the tooth face position of a gear wheel (2), which is non-positively connected to a double-skewed pinion shaft (1). A hydraulic press fit (4, 4a) is formed between the gear wheel (2) and pinion shaft (1) for relieving a non-positive connection of the gear wheel (2) shrink-fitted onto the pinion shaft (1). The setting is carried out by determining a tooth face apex point (A) of the double-skew of the pinion shaft (1). A radial plane (E) with a predetermined axial offset (AV) from the tooth face apex point (A) and a radial offset (RV) with respect to the tooth face apex point (A) are defined. The intersecting point (S) of a tooth face (11) of the gear wheel (2) must be located with the predetermined radial offset (RV) in the radial plane (E).

Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to approximate of life of each resin double helical gear of a gearing resin double helical gear pair to each other by effectively increasing the strength of the tooth of the resin double helical gear with the higher rotational speed; and to lengthen life of the gearing resin double helical gear pair by effectively increasing the strength of the tooth of the resin double helical gear that comes to the end of its life earlier due to stress concentration out of the gearing resin double helical gear pair. A resin double helical gear pair includes a first resin double helical gear and a second resin double helical gear with the larger diameter gearing into the first double helical gear. The first double helical gear is formed so that at least an addendum modification coefficient of a peak of a chevron tooth is larger than addendum modification coefficients of other sections.
