  • Patent number: 4014218
Abstract: A apparatus for the control of a transmission and throttle of a forklift or the like to provide simultaneous control of a transmission position and the throttle position. The apparatus includes a reciprocally and rotatably moveable control rod and a transmission control lever oppositely reciprocable from a neutral position to forward and reverse displacement positions, coupled to and responsive to the movement of the control rod in first and second translational passageways. A throttle control lever is also coupled to and responsive to the movement of the control rod for controlling the throttle responsive to movement of the control rod in the first and second translational passageways and in a third translational passageway. The third translational passageway is defined by first and second wall members which are substantially parallel. The first and second passageways are formed by the first wall member and a fourth wall member and the second wall member and a third wall member respectively.

  • Patent number: 4012015
Abstract: In an aircraft having two engines, a pilot's master control throttle assembly for selectively operating one or both engines and configured to allow for synchronization of the engines using only the master control throttle, the master control assembly has a master throttle lever with a fixed carriage pin extending laterally therefrom which engages detents located in separate slave throttles for each engine. The detent in one slave throttle is a snug fit around the carriage pin, releasably locking it to the master throttle, while the detent in the other slave throttle is elongated, allowing for engine synchronization by movement of the carriage pin within the range of the elongated detent. The slave throttles are spring loaded and can be selectively disengaged from or engaged to the master throttle.

  • Patent number: 3995426
Abstract: The invention is concerned with an improved mechanical arrangement for controlling the steering and speed function of a hydrostatic control system for a ground driven vehicle. Such a control system comprises a pair of hydrostatic pumps each controlled by a rotatable arm extending from a servo valve mounted thereon along with a pair of hydrostatic motors each driven by a respective one of the pumps and a pair of ground engaging means each on respective sides of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 3935932
Abstract: An agricultural tractor has individually operable near-side and off-side brakes with respective brake levers. Said levers are disposed one at each side of a master lever, the three levers being pivotable about a common axis and each provided with a foot pedal. The master lever carries a pivotally mounted cross-bar arranged to operate both of the brake levers with an equalising action when the master lever is operated. One of the two brake levers is fixed to a transversely extending horizontal shaft journalled in a sleeve which is mounted on the tractor and rotatably supports a clutch-operating lever.
