Abstract: A drilling rig and methods are provided for using multiple types of drilling when installing geothermal systems. The drilling rig can perform sonic drilling such as percussive sonic drilling and a type of non-sonic drilling. Control switching valves are added to the hydraulics of the drilling rig to selectively provide sufficient flow of hydraulic fluid to motors used in the multiple types of drilling, depending on which type of drilling is currently most efficient for the underground formation being drilled. The water pump and hydraulic motor for such have been designed to handle both types of drilling on a small drilling rig frame, thereby allowing for the drilling to occur in space-constrained environments. A method of recycling water used to remove cuttings during drilling to put back downhole is also provided.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments determine a plurality of anomaly indications for a plurality of corresponding time series. A multi-modal model is defined for each time series. A first distribution is compared against a time series when the time series values fall within a first range and a second distribution is compared against the time series when the time series values fall with a second range. Based on the comparison, an indication of anomaly is generated for the time series. The indicators of anomaly for each time series are then combined using Fisher's method in some embodiments. The resulting combined anomaly indication is used to determine whether a network is experiencing a brute force attack.

The input shaft can drive the eccentric torque output shafts to rotate, and the eccentric blocks sleeve the outer sides of the eccentric torque output shafts. The eccentric blocks on the eccentric torque output shafts synchronously rotate along with rotation of the eccentric torque output shafts and generate a centrifugal force. The centrifugal forces of the eccentric blocks on one pair of exactly opposite eccentric torque output shafts are equal in magnitude and opposite in direction, but each pair of centrifugal forces forms a force couple. The magnitude and direction of the torque of each force couple periodically change based on the sine function rule over time, and under the action of the torques of the two pairs of force couples, the vibration excitation device generates an arc vibration in a horizontal direction.

  • Patent number: 11022101
Abstract: This Angular Momentum Engine in this patent application uses three simple systems: angular momentum, centripetal force, and relative motion to convert a rotational centripetal force to a linear centripetal force. This Angular Momentum Engine is an ‘add-on’ to any existing vehicles propulsion system. Centripetal force cannot accelerate a vehicle as once this centripetal force reaches a vehicles ‘net force resistance’, the resistance of a physical object to any change in velocity, the centripetal force becomes tangential. This Angular Momentum Engine centripetal force can only equal a vehicles ‘ ’ net force resistance, therefore acceleration is left to the exiting propulsion system, such as a series or parallel automotive hybrid systems, as an example. Centripetal forces are exponential, as its force is proportional to the square of the speed, while acceleration forces are linear giving this patent design an exponential edge over existing propulsion systems.

Abstract: An bearing cooling system is connected to and actuated by the vibration of a vibratory device to pump lubricant to lubricate internal components of the vibratory device. The bearing cooling system has a bottom end cap with an inlet in fluid communication with the vibratory device, a top end cap with an outlet for delivering the lubricant to lubricate components of the vibratory device, a tube disposed between and sealingly engaging the bottom end cap and the top end cap, and a piston having a lubricant passageway. The piston is slidably disposed within the tube downstream of the bottom end cap and upstream of the top end cap. Vibration of the vibration device causes the piston to oscillate within the tube to draw lubricant from the vibration device which passes through the lubricant passageway in the piston, and delivers lubricant to lubricate internal components of the vibration device.

An elastic body is arranged between the centrifugal saddle and the input shaft. The centrifugal saddle is provided at one side thereof with an openable weight assembly, which selectively moves the centrifugal saddle with respect to the input shaft. A balance weight is coupled to one side of the weight assembly. The balance weight forms a limiting structure that includes two retention members and an elastic element between the retention members. The limiting structure helps controlling preciseness of variable transmission, helps increasing available transmission positions, facilitates the weight assemblies returning back to home positions, and is suitable for high horsepower applications.

Abstract: The appliance includes a DC motor (12) having a rotating output shaft (14). A flexible coupling member (22) is connected at one end to the output shaft, and at the other end is connected to an eccentric mass (24). The end of the coupling member with the eccentric mass is connected to a V-spring assembly (16) which drives a workpiece assembly (18) on a distal end which is mounted a workpiece (19). The spring assembly constrains the rotational movement of the coupling member to produce an oscillating, back-and-forth action of the workpiece shaft and the workpiece through a desired angle. The coupling member is elongated, and is elliptical in cross-section in an active region (34), having a thin dimension (38) in the direction in which the active portion bends during operation of the motor and rotation of the motor output shaft.

A non-rotatable first slider is linearly reciprocated by the crank pin so as to linearly reciprocate a tool. An eccentric pin is disposed substantially diametrically opposite of the crank pin relative to the rotational axis and is eccentrically rotatable by the motor about the rotational axis. A rotatable component is rotatably driven by the motor about the rotational axis and has a center of gravity displaced from its rotational axis towards the eccentric pin so as to supplement the vibration reducing function of the counterweight.
