With Gas Recycling Or Reusing Patents (Class 75/757)
  • Publication number: 20100242684
Abstract: A process for sintering metal-containing materials, such as iron ores or manganese ores, on a sintering machine including a sintering belt for transporting the sinter mix during sintering thereof. The sintering belt has first, second and third portions. Sintering waste gas from the third portion is transported to and unified with sintering waste gas from the first portion in a mixing region to form a mixed gas, wherein the transporting distance of the sintering waste gas from the third portion to the mixing region is greater than the transporting distance of the sintering waste gas from the first portion to the mixing region. An apparatus for carrying out the process is disclosed, including the sintering belt, suction boxes operative at the portions of the belt, and lines for conveying the gas produced and the gases used in the process.

  • Patent number: 7789287
Abstract: The present invention provides a bonding method in which a bonded portion having a sufficient bonding strength can be obtained at a relatively low temperature, for example, in die bonding a semiconductor chip. A metal paste 20 was applied to a semiconductor chip 10, the metal paste 20 consisting of metal powder of one or more kinds selected from gold powder, silver powder, platinum powder, and palladium powder having a purity not lower than 99.9 wt % and an average particle diameter of 0.005 ?m to 1.0 ?m and an organic solvent. After being applied, the metal paste 20 was dried in a vacuum in a dryer. The chip was heated at 230° C. for 30 minutes to sinter the metal paste, by which a metal powder sintered compact 21 was formed. Next, a nickel plate 30 was placed on the semiconductor chip 10, and bonded to the semiconductor chip 10 by heating and pressurization.

  • Patent number: 6063160
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and apparatus for sintering finely divided material, containing manganese compounds with a particle size less than 6 mm and a high degree of oxidation, by means of some carbon-bearing material in a conveyor-type sintering apparatus (9) in an essentially continuous operation. According to the invention, through the material (8) to be sintered in the sintering apparatus (9), there is conducted hot gas (15, 18), which causes combustion reactions between the manganese compounds contained in the material and having a high degree of oxidation and the carbon contained in the burning material. Thus the sintering (18) is carried out essentially by means of the combustion heat released from the material (8). Moreover, the sintered material (8) is subjected to cooling (17) prior to removing the material from the sintering apparatus (9).
