    Abstract: This invention relates to a process of making high stretch elastic knitted fabrics from (PTT) which comprises: (a) making a drawn textured yarn with an elongation to break of 30 to 60 percent by: (i) spinning a polytrimethylene terephthalate polymer into a partially oriented yarn, and (ii) draw texturing the yarn in a false-twisting texturing machine at a draw ratio of 1.05 to 2.0, and a yarn temperature of 50 to 200° C. using a either a contact heater or a non-contact heater, and (b) knitting the yarn into a fabric composed of intermeshing loops of the yarn wherein the stitch length is from 22 cm/100 stitches to 26 cm/100 stitches, and (c) scouring the knitted fabric, and (d) drying the fabric on a belt, and (e) dyeing the knitted fabric at atmospheric pressure by dispersing a dye and the fabric in water and increasing the temperature, and (f) finishing the dyed knitted fabric according to the specific procedure and (g) drying the fabric on a belt.

In order to shorten the process time of conventional preparing agents and continuous operation, to make superfluous neutralizing agents for removing excess peroxy compounds as well as to reduce the mechanical equipment required vis-à-vis prior art and to reduce the use of chemical agents, the cellulose material soaked with the treatment liquor is continuously dried with pulsated air at approximately the same disintegration rate as the peroxy compounds thus used. Alkali remaining in the material from pretreatment which remained in the material is used for dyefixing said material.

    Abstract: A process for dyeing cellulosic containing textile materials with fiber reactive dyestuffs whereby from the scouring thru the after-scouring's final rinse less than 5 hours are required and only from 5 to 6 liquor baths are used. Material to be dyed is prepared for dyeing in 10 to 15 minutes at the boil, dyeing is performed in the next bath with no intermediate rinse. Glacial acetic acid, auxiliaries, and dyestuffs are added to the dye bath along with specified amounts of electrolyte, and after the required dyeing temperature is reached specified amounts of alkali are added to the dye bath and the materials subjected thereto at proper time-temperature relationships for level dyeing of a particular shade. Dyestuffs, electrolyte, and alkali are added to the dye bath in one portion with no dosing in a time period of from about 5 to 10 minutes each. The material is neutralized and soaped simultaneously.

This is achieved by including in the bleach composition disperse dye molecules which the present invention has found to be both, stable in the bleach, and capable of depositing the desired amount of various permanent tones on the hair. These disperse dyes do not stain the scalp of the client or the hands of the hairdresser, but are substantive only to the hair fibers. The dyes fall into the classes of anthraquinones and azo compounds.

The preferred configuration is a stack of bipolar electrodes, in which one or both of the anode and cathode are gas diffusion electrodes, and where no hydrogen gas is evolved at the cathode.
