  • Patent number: 8584563
Abstract: An assembly is used upon a powered saw table to accurately cut at a centerline of a workable piece or other material to be cut or, if desired, to accurately cut the cheeks of a tenon to fit a mortise. The trigonometric functions of a right triangle—sine and cosine—are used to assure that as a component of the assembly is moved a certain distance longitudinally, parallel the cutting direction of the saw blade, the guide fence is moved just one-half that distance toward the blade. The longitudinal distance moved is made to equal the width of the piece, thereby indicating a centerline. If the width of the mortise is also considered in addition as part of the longitudinal distance moved, the guide fence is moved toward the saw blade just one-half the distance of the combined widths of the piece and the mortise, to cut the tenon cheeks.

  • Patent number: 8371198
Abstract: A fence engagement and blade guard includes a column mounted to a table saw with a horizontal member received in a channel in the column. A vertical rod extends through and is vertically adjustable in a hole in the horizontal member. An engagement cart is suspended from the vertical rod and includes a beam having axle apertures and axles received in the apertures to support wheels. The wheels frictionally engage a work piece. An axle suspension system is supported from a shield. The engagement cart is angularly rotatable for engagement of the wheels on the work piece to directionally urge the work piece against the table saw fence.

  • Patent number: 7930959
Abstract: A mounting system for a table saw accessory such as a power feed. A carrier is slidably mounted on a rail or flange at the rear of the saw table so that it may traverse the rear of the table. The rear of the saw fence is secured to the carrier. A mounting plate for the power feed is on either the carrier or the fence allowing the power feed to be moved between use and out-of-the-way positions. In the out-of-the-way position, the power feed allows the user to safely feed materials into the cutting blade area.

  • Publication number: 20090084238
Abstract: A fence assembly for a cutting machine includes a body which is adapted to guide a workpiece on a worktable during cutting process. A coupling mechanism includes a sliding bracket slidably mounted to a rail and connected to the body such that movement of the bracket along the rail causes movement of the body relative to the worktable. The sliding bracket is adapted for providing stable sliding movement with respect to the rail and engaging with at least three sides of the rail. A locking mechanism is utilized for selectively locking and unlocking the sliding bracket on the rail.
