Publication number: 20040206221Abstract: A device for cutting pieces of wood to size, in particular meter-long logs, to form log pieces or firewood, has a frame for accommodating meter-long items. The frame comprises spaced-apart holding elements that are designed in a U shape and between which free regions for saw cuts are provided. It is possible for the frame to be shifted from a sawing position about a pivot axis into an unloading position.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 15, 2004Publication date: October 21, 2004Inventor: Franz Loffler

Publication number: 20040163519Abstract: An improved punching tool (1) has a lower tool (3), which is subdivided into a lower tool base plate (7) and a lower-tool operative part (8). The lower tool base plate (7) has a receiving face, with which uniform base areas of a plurality of lower-tool operative parts (8) are associated. The dividing place between the lower-tool operative part (8) and the lower tool base plate (9) is disposed such that all the workpiece-specific designs are present exclusively on the lower-tool operative part (8), while the lower tool base plate (7) is the same, without change, for all workpieces to be machined.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 9, 2004Publication date: August 26, 2004Applicant: Groz-Beckert KGInventors: Hans Joachim Halamoda, Siegfried Beerhalter, Ernst Heinemann

Publication number: 20040149103Abstract: A rotating saw clamp for clamping a product roll to be sawn. The rotating log saw clamp includes a first portion disposed for rotation about an axis and a second portion disposed for rotation with the first portion and movable relative to the first portion between an open position and a clamping position. The second portion is rotatable from the clamping position to the open position in rotation of the first and second rotating portions in a common direction.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 5, 2003Publication date: August 5, 2004Applicant: C.G. Patent number: 6766721Abstract: A bale processor for cutting or dicing a bale or slab of unvulcanized rubber produces small cubes or blocks of a predetermined size and uniform shape for continuous feeding at a predetermined rate into a mixing machine or blender. A bale or slab of feedstock rubber is advanced incrementally along a slider platform and a segment is sliced from the leading end of the bale. After separation, the segment falls onto a receiving panel from which it is transferred by a vacuum pick-up head to a vacuum hold-down table. Multiple slices are then formed through the segment along the X-axis by circular cutting blades of an X-axis cutter head, thereby forming elongated segment strips. Next, multiple slices are formed through the segment strips in the Y-direction by a Y-axis cutter head which includes circular cutter blades that are extendable and retractable along the Y-axis.Type: GrantFiled: November 26, 2002Date of Patent: July 27, 2004Inventor: Amitkumar N.
