  • Patent number: 7059228
Abstract: A circular saw includes a universal arm mounted to a rear end of a base member of the circular saw. A housing with a saw blade is pivotally connected to the universal arm. A drive device is longitudinally mounted to the housing for driving the saw blade and includes a casing secured on the housing. A motor is securely received in the casing and radially corresponding to the saw blade along a moving direction of the saw blade. A worm is longitudinally secured on a free end of the shaft extending from the motor. A worm gear is laterally rotatably mounted to the casing and engaged to the worm. An endless belt is mounted and surrounding a first belt wheel extending from the saw blade and the second belt wheel extending from the worm gear for driving the saw blade when the motor is operated.

  • Patent number: 6672348
Abstract: A portable saw table for supporting a portable saw. The portable saw table has a base supporting a plate slidably mountable thereon, and the portable saw is attached to the plate. An adjustable work support is mounted on the base adjacent the plate, and an extendable work support is slidably mounted with respect to the base. Linear guides mounted between the base and the plate properly locate the plate with respect to the adjustable work support, thereby permitting a saw fence to be aligned with a vertical guide surface on the adjustable work support. A locking device is used to secure the plate at its aligned position. The adjustable work support is movable lengthwise to align a horizontal work surface immediately adjacent a saw table, and the adjustable work support is also movable in a vertical direction so that it is coplanar with the saw table. The extendable work support is movable in three mutually perpendicular directions to align it with the adjustable work support.

  • Patent number: 4031933
Abstract: A cutting machine to form a tenon at each end of a piece of timber, which tenon has opposite faces which are inclined both longitudinally and transversely relative to the piece of timber and form hereinafter called skew tenon faces. This tenon cutting machine is of simple and inexpensive construction and uses a pair of circular saws which are simply arranged angularly relative to each other and to the piece of timber to produce both skew tenon faces at each end of the piece of timber by simple bodily displacement of the circular saws transversely of the piece of timber. This machine includes a carriage displaceable in a predetermined direction and carrying the two circular saws, a timber carrying bench to place the piece of timber lengthwise orthogonally to this direction and laterally slanted either way in this direction. The displacement of the carriage causes the saws to cut the two surfaces respectively which are required on either side of the tenon.
