With Stop-signal-responsive Means To Actuate Auxiliary Cutter Patents (Class 83/60)
  • Patent number: 7707917
Abstract: A web is fed into a sheet severer prior to its entry into a subsequent processing stage. The sheets, which have been severed from the web are then cut into required product sections in a cross-cutter which is associated with this subsequent processing stage. In order to achieve an accurately registered severing process, using the sheet severer, it is triggered by a signal which represents the phase position of the cross-cutter. The sheet severer is thus phase-correlated in relation to the phase position of the cross-cutter.

  • Publication number: 20090108043
Abstract: A device is usable to feed at least one material web and/or at least one strand that is comprised of several material webs into a folding device. A superstructure is part of the device, as is a former that can be displaced in relation to the material web, and a transverse cutter which is usable to separate the material web or webs into individual products. At least one guide rail is provided in the superstructure and carries a retaining device that can be displaceably guided on the path of travel of the material web through the superstructure. A leading edge of at least one of the material webs can be attached to the retaining device. The guide rail passes the former and includes at least one flexible guide rail section whose form can be altered. In particular, the length of the flexible guide rail section can be adjusted in the region adjoining the former.

  • Patent number: 7089830
Abstract: A wrench includes a handle, a head, a drive member rotatably mounted in the head, two pawls, an elastic element for biasing at least one of the pawls to engage with the drive member, and a pivotable switch. An end of each pawl defines a space. The end of each pawl further includes a protrusion. The spaces of the pawls overlap with each other and the protrusion of each pawl is located in the space of the other pawl. The switch includes an actuating member extending into the overlapped spaces of the pawls and between the protrusions of the pawls. The actuating member of the switch is pivotable to engage with and thus move the protrusion of one of the pawls, disengaging the pawl from the drive member and thereby changing a driving rotation direction and a free rotation direction of the wrench.

  • Patent number: 5022296
Abstract: A method and apparatus for the automatic manufacture of portions of a given length of strip material printed or embossed with a repetitive pattern in a longitudinal strip material, such as venetian blind slats, panels for walls and ceiling coverings and for shutters, awnings and sun louvres, in which the strip material is fed progressively to a cutting unit, first sections are cut, each of said given length, on the strip material, the second sections are cut from parts of the strip material immediately following at least some of the cut-off first sections, in a controlled manner, to allow varying of the length of each of said second sections individually, to provide a controlled positioning of the repetitive pattern along the length of the subsequently cut first sections, the second sections being rejected and the first sections being renewed for further handling.

  • Patent number: 4268341
Abstract: A changeover system for a corrugator designed to halt the corrugator during the changeover to diminish paper loss. When the corrugator is halted, a traveling knife severs the combined webs adjacent the beginning of the steam table run. The slitter scorer and the cutoff are changed and the corrugator is restarted. The traveling knife which severs the combined webs may operate above the steam table or below the steam table; alternate forms may be used.
