With Tool Positioning Abutment Patents (Class 83/655)
  • Patent number: 7568410
Abstract: A method is provided for cutting beaded fabric that includes a bead attached to cloth-like material. According to one embodiment, a continuous length of the beaded fabric is fed through a guide into a die-cutting press and is die-cut via a soft anvil die while the material is retained in the guide. A guide is also provided for retaining the beaded fabric during die-cutting operations. Pre-cut beaded fabric is also provided that is easily separated into tie-downs. A continuous cutting method is also provided for forming individual tie-downs from a combination of fabric and plastic material used to form a bead on the fabric. The continuous cutting method may include die-cutting beaded fabric, placing a mark on a bead of the beaded fabric, and severing the bead at the mark.

  • Patent number: 6807889
Abstract: The cutting plate of a press for shaping sheets of paper or cardboard comprises a bottom beam receiving a support plate (1) on which a metal cutting plate (7) is placed, the support plate (1) has means for adjusting its position in a horizontal plane and means for fixing the cutting plate (7). The support plate (1), on a first side thereof, has at least one moving stirrup (15, 16), the said moving stirrup being adapted to take up a clamping position where it prevents the cutting plate (7) from sliding on the support plate (1) and an inoperative position where it enables the cutting plate (7) to slide on the support plate (1). The side opposite the first side and one of the adjacent sides are provided with at least one fixed stirrup (10, 11, 12, 13, 14) disposed so that portions of the edge of the cutting plate (7) can be slid into the said fixed stirrups and be gripped under the moving stirrups in the clamping position.

  • Patent number: 4092890
Abstract: A stencil-cutting machine comprises a support adapted to receive a ferrous-metal plate upon which a plurality of cutting dies can be mounted to pass between a pair of rollers, at least one of which can be rotated, e.g. by a handle. Guide means is provided on the support for enabling the plate to move between the rollers with a stencil cardboard overlying the cutting dies and overlain, in turn, by a yieldable blanket. Magnetic alignment rules are provided on the plate to assist in aligning the dies and, at the end of a row of such dies, magnetic blocking members can be provided to hold them in place.
