    Abstract: A thermoplastic molding composition which features improved dimensional stability and low gloss is disclosed. The composition which contains (A) a first grafted rubber having a weight average particle size of 0.05 to 0.30 microns, (B) a second grafted rubber having a weight average particle size of 0.31 to 1.00 microns, (C) vinyl chloride (co) polymer, and, optionally, (D) styrene copolymer, is especially suitable for extruding profiles. In a preferred embodiment, at least one of the grafted rubbers is characterized in that its substrate features a core-shell structure, wherein the core contain at least one crosslinked vinylaromatic polymer, and the shell is elastomeric.

The desired vehicle speed is calculated in accordance with the actual vehicle-to-vehicle distance, the relative speed and a control gain which is adjusted in accordance with the relative speed.

    Abstract: Apparatus and method for severing and stacking articles which have been differentially pressure formed in a sheet of thermoplastic material from the sheet. Apparatus is provided for moving the sheet in a horizontal path and relatively vertically moving opposed upper and lower trim dies into engagement with vertically opposite sides of the sheet to trim the articles from the sheet at a trim station. The articles free fall through an opening in the lower die and free fall to an underlying accumulator. The accumulator includes mechanism which is moveable from a stack forming position in the path of freely falling articles to receive and accumulate freely falling severed articles in a stack, and a releasing position in which a formed the stack is released for vertical free fall.

    Abstract: A die cutter for cutting a product from a sheet of material. The die cutter has a rule die blade, which defines the shape of the product. The die blade is held by a die holder, which has an opening corresponding to the die blade, so that the cut product can pass through the die holder. A platen is mounted for relative movement toward and away from the die holder, and has a groove corresponding to the die blade. The die blade thus does not contact the platen at any time. The platen also has passages for the removal of chaff. A resilient stripper plate is mounted on the die holder, adjacent to the die blade, for stripping the material away from the die blade.

    Abstract: Device for forming orderly arranged groups of packages from a continuous web of packages, comprising a first stem slidably guided vertically and driven between a lowered position underlying the web and a raised position overlying the web, a support secured to the top of the stem, a punching member attached to the support and having a sidewall. The sidewall surrounds a cavity and includes a border defining externally a cutting edge. A die support is provided such as to have a lower side substantially adhering to the upper side of the web and having an opening aligned with and complementary to the punching member, such as to permit the insertion thereof through the opening and the punching out of one package from the web during the raising movement of the punching member from the lowered position to the raised position. A second stem is slidably guided parallel to the first stem and is provided at the top with a plate receivable in the cavity.
