Chord Players Patents (Class 84/443)
  • Patent number: 11256339
Abstract: Hexagonal keyboards, key support plates therefor, and methods of manufacture of hexagonal keyboards are described. An example hexagonal keyboard includes a plurality of hexagonal keys and a frame including a key support plate to support the plurality of hexagonal keys. A plurality of axle supports is molded into the key support plate. Each respective axle support of the plurality of axle supports is to pivotally support a respective hexagonal key about a respective hinge. The hexagonal keys are supported in a stepped hexagonal lattice arrangement.

  • Patent number: 7732693
Abstract: In order to provide a resin-formed body including wood powder which is applicable to a material for a black key having a good external appearance and which has touch close to real wood with less difference in quality without using rare wood, the resin-formed body including wood powder (1) includes colored wood powder, resin and pigment. Moreover, with respect to the resin-formed body including wood powder (1), it is possible to use a mass ratio between the wood powder and the resin so as to be 90/10-60/40.

Abstract: A musical instrument controller provides an array keyboard in which most note triggers form major 3rd, minor 3rd, and perfect fifth intervals at line segment boundaries with adjacent note triggers, and form major and minor triads at vertices or other convergence points where three note triggers meet. The segments and vertices provide for single-finger triggering of intervals and triads. After-pressure and movement in the array plane (even crossing trigger boundaries) provide for three dimensions of per-key continuous control.

  • Patent number: 6392131
Abstract: A device for input of musical notes and chords, each triad including a plurality of musical notes and being classified into types according to a number of notes in the chord and the tonal relationship among the notes, includes a plurality of input devices each associated with a note. The input devices are arranged in spatial relationship to each other such that the spatial relationship of input devices required to play a type of chord is the same for all triads of that type.

  • Patent number: 6218601
Abstract: An in-line keyboard provides a large number of music producing actuators in a small space. Each actuator corresponds to a note on a musical scale. The actuators are arranged in perpendicular columns and rows. The actuators of each column are played by a single finger. The actuators corresponding to natural notes have a first tactile feel, such as cylindrical. Actuators corresponding to sharp and flat notes have a different tactile feel. The actuators corresponding to the sharp and flat notes are arranged in columns between the columns of the natural note actuators. The natural notes are further arranged such that pairs of adjacent actuators in a column correspond to perfect fifths of a musical scale.

  • Patent number: 3941023
Abstract: A chord button assembly for use in electronical organs is formed as a unitary assembly. A plastic hinge strip extending the length of the chord selector button area is provided and a plurality of keys or arms extend from the strip and have selector buttons formed at or near terminating ends of the arms in a staggered pattern to extend through openings formed in the chord selector plate. The arms are provided with return spring and electrical contact element receiving recesses which are strategically located to allow selection of multiple chord operation by actuation of a single chord button.
