  • Patent number: 6829855
Abstract: A magazine-protecting, ambidextrous device for carrying a loaded spare magazine attached to a firearm buttstock in position for rapid removal and insertion into the firing position of the firearm. The loaded spare magazine is restrained within a well formed in the buttstock by a retractable latch pivotably mounted such that when the spare magazine is removed, the latch retracts below the exterior surface of the firearm buttstock, protecting the latch from damage and reducing the profile of the weapon. The spare magazine is carried in such a way as to protect the open end of the magazine and the ammunition carried therein from dirt and/or damage.

  • Patent number: 6658781
Abstract: A grip that can be easily attached to and removed from a handgun or a rifle. In the case of a handgun, the grip is easily slipped onto the gun frame ahead of the trigger guard, and it extends downwardly with the exterior surface containing soft and comfortable finger grips for the other hand of the user. In the case of a rifle, the grip is provided at its upper end with a quick detachable mechanism that can be quickly attached and removed from the conventional mounting base on the under side of the stock of the rifle. The grip is provided with a soft material on its exterior surface with finger grips so that the rifle can be comfortably gripped by the user and allow the rifle to be held steadily when aiming and shooting.

  • Patent number: 6658982
Abstract: A cocking knob and striker assembly for a gas-powered projectile firing device (e.g., a paintball marker). The cocking knob is adapted for operative connection with the striker and has a rearwardly facing spring seat adapted to engage the striker spring. Spring pressure on the cocking knob keeps it engaged with the striker. The arrangement affords easier disassembly and reassembly of the parts.

  • Patent number: 6561073
Abstract: A device and method for carrying, loading and cocking a firearm 40, such as a pistol or similar. A first element 10; 110 is attached to the firearm. A second element 20 is slidably disposed and displaceable within and away from the first element. A spring element 30; 130 is generally disposed in relation to the first and second elements such that the second element is fixed within said first element until a predetermined force is applied to either element. The invented device and method allows a firearm such as a pistol to be drawn, loaded and cocked in one continous movement, using only one hand.

  • Patent number: 6508158
Abstract: A firing lever assembly is disclosed for use in a firearm having a housing extending in a longitudinal direction and a bolt assembly adapted for longitudinal movement within the housing. The firing lever assembly includes a carrier defining a through hole and a firing lever having a first end adapted for insertion into the carrier. A spring guide rod is sized for insertion into the carrier through hole and adapted for longitudinal movement between an extended position and a retracted position, and a recoil spring disposed about the spring guide rod. The spring guide rod in the extended position engages the firing lever to secure the first end of the firing lever in the carrier, while the spring guide rod in the retracted position is disengaged from the firing lever to allow removal of the firing lever from the carrier.

  • Patent number: 6434874
Abstract: A digit support for AR family receivers designed to reside in a gap left between a receiver's pistol grip and trigger guard. The support fills the gap and ideally separates a user's digit from the gap, thereby protecting the user's digit from injury due to prolonged contact with the walls forming said gap. The digit support is easily installed without removal of any components of or attachments to the receiver and in its best mode allows for the simultaneous opening of the receiver's trigger guard. In the best mode, the support is a body molded from a rubber compound having dimensions to fit snugly in the gap left between the trigger guard and the pistol grip. Ideally, the remaining exposed surface extends slightly higher than the depth of the gap and is cylindrically domed. Also in the best mode, the side of the body abutting the trigger guard mount should have a concavity designed to fit around the trigger guard mount so as to encompass said mount.

  • Patent number: 6257114
Abstract: A firing lever mechanism for use with a firearm is disclosed. The firing lever mechanism includes a slide disposed for reciprocating movement between a distal position and a proximal position, and a first spring that biases the slide toward the distal position. A firing lever is mounted for pivotal movement between a rest position and an operating position. In the rest position, the firing lever is disposed in substantial alignment with the longitudinal axis of the firearm to facilitate grasping of the firing lever. When the firing lever is pivoted through a first predefined angle in a direction away from the operating position, the slide is released from the locked position. The first spring then moves the slide toward the distal position thereby pivoting the lever toward the operating position.
