Synchronizers Patents (Class 89/133)
  • Patent number: 10962319
Abstract: A firing control apparatus and method for installing in a firearm, the apparatus comprising: an energy storing mechanism configured to store mechanical energy which is produced by a mechanical system, upon firing the firearm or by manual operation of the firearm, an electromagnet configured to control the energy storing mechanism, wherein the energy storing mechanism holds or releases the mechanical energy to prevent or enable the firearm from firing, and a processor or an electro-mechanical switch configured to activate or deactivate the electromagnet to control the operation of the energy storing mechanism according to preselected rules.

  • Patent number: 9091501
Abstract: A forward set trigger device for a firearm, includes a striking element that is acted upon by a main spring and has a catch interacting with a locking element, which can be disengaged from the catch by a trigger blade via a release member. The forward set trigger further includes an uncocking mechanism for the main spring by means of which a main spring support facing away from the striking element can be brought into a position that uncocks the main spring. A forward setting mechanism having a spring element, is articulated to the trigger blade and supported on a stop and which can be brought into an unstable cocked position during a forward setting movement of the trigger blade, and wherein the uncocking mechanism brings the spring element out of its unstable cocked position when the main spring support is moved into the uncocked position.

  • Patent number: 5003862
Abstract: An armament control system for helicopter mounted weapons is disclosed in which the area of fire could penetrate the arc created by the rotating blades. The system consists of subsystems which provide data for the rotor blade position and the armament aim and a control circuit to discriminate the firing of the armament when conditions meet the set criteria. The rotor blade position data subsystem may be used to provide information for a plurality of control circuits and weapons.

  • Patent number: 4237462
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus and method for synchronizing the firing of radar pulses from behind the propeller of an airplane. The apparatus simultaneously senses the instantaneous azimuth angle at which the radar is to be fired, and the instantaneous rotational speed of the propeller. Based on these variables, the apparatus determines a dead zone within which the radar cannot be fired without either the pulse or its return hitting the propeller. The apparatus also receives an externally generated timing signal that defines a plurality of consecutive fixed length time frames. During each of these time frames, and while the propeller is not in the dead zone, the synchronizer generates a predetermined number of commands to fire the radar.
