  • Patent number: 11167402
Abstract: A compressed air nailer comprises a working piston connected to a driving tappet and configured to drive in a fastener and a triggering apparatus. The triggering apparatus comprises a manually actuable trigger, a placing sensor, and a force transmission element configured to interact with the manually actuable trigger and the placing sensor to actuate a control valve and trigger the driving process when the manually actuable trigger and the placing sensor are actuated together. The compressed air nailer is configured to continuously drive in fasteners in an automatic operating mode when the manually actuable trigger and the placing sensor are permanently actuated, and wherein displacing the placing sensor from the second position into the first position does not actuate the control valve when the manually actuable trigger is in an actuated position when the placing sensor is displaced.

  • Patent number: 6800383
Abstract: New tungsten carbides alloyed with fluorine in amounts up to 0.5 wt % and possibly with fluorocarbon compositions are described. It is possible to produce them by means of a new process of chemical vapor deposition, in which tungsten hexafluoride, hydrogen and a carbon-containing gas are used. A specific feature of the new process is the preliminary thermal activation of the carbon-containing gas. The tungsten carbide coatings are deposited on construction materials and items made from them. They possess enhanced resistance to wear, corrosion and chemicals.

  • Patent number: 6386841
Abstract: A pneumatically operated hydraulic pump includes a cylinder housing accommodating a main piston to subdivide the housing interior in two working chambers. The main piston is connected to a hydraulic piston for joint reciprocation so that the hydraulic piston can carry out a suction stroke when the main piston moves to one end position and a pressure stroke when the main piston moves to the other end position. Arranged laterally to the cylinder housing is a control mechanism for regulating a flow of working fluid alternately to the working chambers. The control mechanism includes a plastic valve casing for accommodating a control piston having opposite end faces of different size to define different effective areas and thereby realize reciprocation of the control piston by the working fluid. A slide shoe is guided in the valve casing for conjoint movement with the control piston.

  • Patent number: 5493945
Abstract: A supply-discharge valve member (30) inserted into a valve casing (29) can be pushed downward by pressure fluid of an actuation chamber (35). A restriction passage (G) is constituted by a fitting clearance between a valve bore (61) and an opening-closing valve member (62) provided in the valve casing (29). The pressure fluid supplied to the chamber (35) is quickly discharged to an atmosphere side through the restriction passage (G) when an amount of the supplied fluid is extremely a little. When the supplied amount increases, since a flowing resistance of the restriction passage (G) increases and the pressure within the chamber (35) is increased, a closing valve surface (69) of the opening-closing valve member (62) is brought into contact with a valve seat (70) for closing by that pressure to prevent the pressure fluid from being discharged.

  • Patent number: 4434705
Abstract: A reciprocable drive mechanism has a fluid pressure operable ram controlled by a spool valve, a two-position valve and a braking valve. During a powered stroke of the ram, the spool valve closes an exhaust path of the two-position valve so that the latter remains in a first position in which pressure fluid is obliged to flow through the braking valve, in a fully opened condition, to the cylinder of the ram. At the end of the powered stroke the spool valve is shifted to a second position in which it permits exhausting of fluid through the two-position valve, and as a result of change of differential pressure in the latter, the pressure fluid previously obliged to flow through the braking valve is permitted to flow to exhaust. The braking valve is then less open, so the ram carries out its return stroke at a slower rate.

  • Patent number: 4344555
Abstract: A pneumatic fastener applying tool featuring a self-cycling control valve with one moving port. A trigger actuated valve sets the cycling valve in motion. The cycling valve alternatively pressurizes and vents the working piston of the fastener tool. A valve stem is positioned by an integral reciprocating piston. The position of the reciprocating piston is determined by the balance of forces between a biasing spring tending to vent the working piston and a pressure-force tending to pressurize the working piston. Two flow paths, internal to the valve stem, determine the pressure applied to the reciprocating piston. One path pressurizes the reciprocating piston. Another path vents the reciprocating piston. Positive feedback of air pressure from the working cylinder positions the reciprocating piston and valve stem so as to vent the reciprocating piston when the working piston is vented and to pressurize the reciprocating piston when the working piston is pressurized.

An auxiliary valve member controls the admission of the pressurized fluid to the larger end face and is open only during the reversal of the hydraulic pump from suction to pumping stroke, while the pressure acting on the larger end face is relieved during reversal from the pumping to the suction stroke. A duct communicates one or the other of the connecting compartments of the main valve member which an actuating compartment of an actuating unit, depending on the position of the main valve member.
