Distributor Motor Working Member Is Valve Seat For Pilot Valve Patents (Class 91/312)
  • Patent number: 11536138
Abstract: A volumetric expander comprising a casing having a general inlet and outlet, a piston operating inside the casing and adapted to define an expansion chamber with variable volume, a main shaft connected to the piston, and a valve for selectively opening and closing an inlet and an outlet of the expansion chamber allowing: a condition of introduction of the working fluid in the expansion chamber, a condition of expansion of the working fluid in the expansion chamber, and a condition of discharge of the working fluid from said expansion chamber. The casing defines a discharge chamber in direct communication with the general outlet and configured for being put in direct fluid communication with the outlet of the expansion chamber during the condition of discharging the working fluid from the expansion chamber itself.

  • Patent number: 5174322
Abstract: A four-way hydraulic control valve automatically reverses flow of hydraulic fluid to a double acting hydraulic cylinder or to a reversible hydraulic motor when a substantial resistance to fluid flow is encountered, such as when the cylinder or a machine being operated by the cylinder or motor reaches a mechanical limit of its motion. The valve has a reciprocating spool in a valve body with two internal control valves, one at each end, and with appropriate internal pressure shunts for directing high pressure fluid into the control valves and drain fluid restrictions to shuttle the spool back and forth in response to an increase in pressure resulting from a substantial resistance to fluid flow.

  • Patent number: 4971531
Abstract: A compressed air pump comprising a compressed air piston motor (11) having a cylinder housing (12) and a low pressure piston (22) moveable between first and second end wall parts (13, 14) and a hydraulic piston pump (15) in the second end wall part (14). One side of the low pressure piston and the first end wall part together define a working chamber (21) and the other side of the piston (22) abuts and drives the hydraulic piston (24). A pilot piston (25), which is controlled by the low pressure piston (22) controls the supply of compressed air to the working chamber (21). A spring powers the return stroke of the low pressure piston and the hydraulic piston. The pilot piston (25) is housed in a pilot cylinder (35) incorporated in the first end wall part (13) and is mounted for movement between a first position and a second position. In the first position compressed air can be passed from an inlet (17) in the end wall part to the working chamber.

  • Patent number: 4949622
Abstract: A fluid operable engine has a cylinder in which a piston slides up and down. The cylinder has a cylindrical wall and two end walls. The piston divides the cylinder into two chambers. The piston is hollow, has a cylindrical wall and two end walls, with a rigid tube extending from and through one end wall of the piston through an adjacent end wall of the cylinder so that the interior of the piston communicates with the exterior through the tube. The cylinder has an aperture in each end wall or in its cylindrical wall close to the end walls and the piston has an opening in each of its end walls. A closure member is provided for alternately closing the openings or the apertures as the piston reaches each end wall. The engine is operated either in a positive or negative manner, with fluid being charged into or sucked from the piston or the cylinder. The openings may be closed from within or without and the apertures may be closed from inside or outside. The closure member may be mechanically or fluid operable.

  • Patent number: 4728267
Abstract: A fluid driven reciprocating pump comprises a pair of heads each containing a displaceable member defining a drive chamber and a pump chamber on opposite sides of the diaphragm in one head, and a drive chamber and an inactive chamber on opposite sides of the diaphragm in the other head. A mechanical coupling connects the two displaceable members for reciprocation together; and a control valve assembly connects the drive chambers of both heads to a source of pressurized fluid for driving them through forward strokes, a spring driving the heads through return strokes.
