  • Patent number: 6782910
Abstract: A hydraulic valve assembly for selectably delivering hydraulic fluid from a supply of hydraulic fluid to one of a first hydraulic operator and a second hydraulic operator is disclosed. The assembly includes first and second supply ports which communicate with the supply and four operator ports. First and third ports communicate with the first hydraulic operator. Second and fourth ports communicate with the fourth hydraulic operator. First and second chambers are provided. The first chamber communicates with the first supply port and first and second operator ports. The second chamber communicates with the second supply port and third and fourth operator ports. Two selection valves operating in unison are each located in each chamber. The selection valves operate between a first position at a first hydraulic fluid pressure and a second position at a second hydraulic fluid pressure.

  • Patent number: 5992294
Abstract: An hydraulic valve has two outlets and is switchable so that fluid can only be supplied to one outlet at a time. A spool with two seals is slidable in a housing under the action of two proportional solenoids and is urged to a central position by two springs where the seals block passage to both outlets. When the spool is moved in one direction it allows flow to one outlet and also allows flow via a bypass channel to an opposite side of the spool counteracting the force applied by the solenoid so that the force applied to an outlet can be controlled gradually.

  • Patent number: 5469797
Abstract: This invention is a multi-row full stalk sugar cane planter which utilizes a fully automatic hydraulically driven feed and distribution system to place cane stalks on the field in three or more successive rows including the row directly beneath the planter. A hydraulically driven, continuous chain, feed conveyor moves cane stalks in the semi-vertical position and in multiple columns toward a primary and optional secondary rotating distribution drum system. A pressure compensating proportioning control valve monitors pressure at the primary distribution drum motor and automatically compensates for high pressure spikes by slowing or hesitating the feed of cane stalks to the primary distribution drum. The special valve can be easily adjusted on the fly to compensate for differing field and weather conditions. A series of hydraulic secondary distribution drums are also provided to insure proper planting and placement of the cane stalks in three or more rows.

  • Patent number: 5449042
Abstract: The invention is directed to a foldable agricultural implement frame having a first pair of controlling/controlled lifting hydraulic cylinders for lifting and lowering the right wing section and the center section together in a level condition, and a second pair of controlling/controlled lifting hydraulic cylinders for lifting and lowering the left wing section and the center section together in a level condition. In the first pair of controlling/controlled hydraulic cylinders one of the hydraulic cylinders lifts the right wing section and the other lifts the center section. In the second pair of controlling/controlled hydraulic cylinders one of the hydraulic cylinders lifts the left wing section and the other lifts the center section. A rephasing valve assembly is used to rephase the controlling/controlled hydraulic cylinder pairs when the implement frame is folded and only the center section needs to be lifted and lowered.

  • Patent number: 5069111
Abstract: A hydraulic pressure-control device, specially for powershift transmissions of motor vehicles, comprises a fluid pump (1) and a main valve for regulating the pressure in at least one high-pressure consumer device (6), which is attached to a pressure pipe (3) between the fluid pump (1) and the main pressure valve. The main pressure valve is designed as pressure-relief valve. In the main pressure valve is integrated the operation of a second pressure-relief valve. Two different pressure limits can be adjusted in the pressure pipe (3) by a valve piston (21) through two compression springs (17, 18) connected in parallel of which one compression spring (18) is bound.

  • Patent number: 4825748
Abstract: A system reduces force fight between hydraulic actuators (22, 24) operated on independent hydraulic circuits (29, 49) which position a control surface (20) of an aircraft. Each circuit includes a hydraulic supply (30, 50). A pressure equalization valve (70) is connected to first sides (42, 62) of the actuators. In the event of a pressure imbalance, a spool (82) shifts in the pressure equalization valve. Movement of the spool enables fluid from the circuit supply to be delivered through the equalization valve to the actuator at the lower pressure, rapidly eliminating the imbalance.

  • Patent number: 4748570
Abstract: Apparatus for confirming the clamping conditions of a clamping device which is used to clamp workpieces of different sizes. Signals corresponding to the kind of workpiece being clamped are derived from the flow rate of pressurized fluid used to drive the actuator of the clamping device. These signals are used to confirm the clamping conditions and also the kind, and the presence or absence, of the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 4185541
Abstract: Method and apparatus for hydraulically controlling subsea well equipment, such as valve operators, connectors, and other hydraulically actuated devices, with a significantly reduced number of hydraulic pressure source lines from the surface to the subsea location of said well equipment. The apparatus includes a multi-mode subsea switching valve having a plurality of module-like sections, each section having an inlet port, a vent port and a plurality of outlet ports. When installed, this valve preferably is located near the subsea well, and a source of hydraulic pressure and a plurality of hydraulic switches, all located on a surface vessel or other surface facility, are connected to the valve's inlet ports by means of a relatively small number of hydraulic pressure source lines. A relatively large number of hydraulic outlet lines interconnect the valve's outlet ports and the subsea well equipment so that in each of its functional modes the valve directs fluid pressure to a different set of subsea devices.
