  • Patent number: 8591626
Abstract: The invention relates to a method as well as a device for separation of a carbon-dioxide-containing gas mixture (1), whereby carbon dioxide is separated from the carbon-dioxide-containing gas mixture (1) by physical gas washing (W1) and is converted into two product streams (3, 4) that consist primarily of carbon dioxide and have different pressures, and in the event of an operational breakdown, after their pressures are balanced, the product streams are subjected to an after-treatment step (W2) and then are released into the atmosphere. For balancing the pressures of the two carbon dioxide product streams (3, 4), the carbon dioxide stream (3, 7) that has the lower pressure is compressed by a gas jet ventilator (G), whereby the carbon dioxide stream (4) that has the higher pressure is used as a pumping medium (6).

  • Publication number: 20120192718
Abstract: Embodiments of recirculating filtration and exhaust systems for material processing systems are disclosed herein. A material processing system configured in accordance with one embodiment includes an enclosure for processing a workpiece, the enclosure having an enclosure inlet and an enclosure outlet. The system also includes a first flow path fluidly coupled to the enclosure inlet and the enclosure outlet, and a first filtration assembly in the first flow path. The first filtration assembly draws airflow from the enclosure and returns the airflow to the enclosure. The system further includes a second flow path in fluid communication with the first flow path upstream from the enclosure inlet, and a second filtration assembly in the second flow path. The second filtration assembly draws airflow from the first flow path and returns airflow to the first flow path.

  • Patent number: 7896170
Abstract: The present invention relates to a flow divider promoting separation, the flow divider comprising an inlet, at least one dividing fin, and two or more outlets. According to the present invention a pipeline leading to the inlet is sufficiently long to promote at least a degree of separation of a fluid that is carried through the pipeline and that initially is mixed, the lighter constituents flowing through a top section of the pipeline, and the heavier constituents flowing through a bottom section of the pipeline, wherein the at least one dividing fin is/are arranged either vertically and/or horizontally in order to divide the flow into two or more smaller flow streams downstream of the flow divider.

  • Publication number: 20100064891
Abstract: Aspects include a valve comprising a flowing liquid, operable to control a flow of gas through a port. Certain aspects include reaction chambers operable to react gases, and in some aspects gases are substantially contained within an envelope comprised of a flowing liquid. Certain embodiments control gas entrance into a chamber with a valve comprised of a flowing liquid controlling gas flow through a port. Various gas scrubbing systems are described, including systems comprising reaction chambers operable to react gases that yield substantial amounts of solid reaction products. Methods for controlling gas flow are disclosed. Systems and methods include sequential steps of wet-scrubbing, reacting and further wet-scrubbing a gas stream.
