  • Patent number: 8246724
Abstract: In a method for air treatment in a display cabinet for the storage and/or display of objects, whose walls, floor and roof structure more or less enclose the inside space of the display cabinet and in which a forced inflow of air from an air delivery system connected to the inside space (1) of the cabinet maintains a slight excess pressure compared with the air outside it, the said airflow passes through suitable dust or gas filtration means before entering the cabinet and its air humidity is adjusted and/or controlled by means of a cooling device. After filtration, the airflow passes through a catalyser (8) present in a liquid (7), the air picks up moisture from the liquid and is rendered completely free from germs. In this manner and in a simple way, a completely germ-free atmosphere is produced inside the display cabinet. A display cabinet for implementing the method has a corresponding structure.

  • Patent number: 7377958
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for removing airborne moisture from a designated area. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a bucket, a liquid absorption medium (such as ground corn cobs) placed in the bottom of the bucket to form a media bed, a tray placed over the absorption media bed, and a moisture absorption medium (such as calcium chloride) placed in the bucket over the tray. A method is also provided for absorbing moisture from a humid environment using the apparatus. When the apparatus is exposed to humid conditions, the CaCl2 will absorb moisture and become hardened. As the CaCl2 media hardens, it will expand. However, its lateral expansion is restricted by a side wall of the tray. Over further time, the CaCl2 will begin to dissolve into a brine. The brine will gravitationally seep through the through-openings in the tray and be captured by the corn cob medium.

Abstract: A dust recovery device comprising an air drawing unit and a gravity centrifugal unit, wherein, an air blower in the air drawing unit is used to directly draw dust into a centrifuge cylinder of the gravity centrifugal unit. The air entering the gravity centrifugal unit can form a strong air whirling action by an air vortex generator to throw out the dust blending with air by the air whirling action and to evolve it out of the airflow when it is released from the air vortex. The evolved dust is guided by the wall of the centrifuge cylinder to drop into a dust collecting tank through a dust dropping hole, thereby, the dust is effectively recovered and are no more discharged into the atmosphere along with the airflow.

  • Patent number: 6183541
Abstract: A natural gas dehydrator and process for dehydrating natural gas employ a longitudinal horizontal pressure vessel containing a threshold level of liquid desiccant. A plurality of spaced-apart baffles divides the vessel into a series of pneumatically discrete compartments. The baffles have a plurality of apertures which define a sinusoidal gas flow path through the vessel into and out of the liquid desiccant from the inlet to the outlet. Each of the baffles also has an opening in its lowermost portion which define a linear primary liquid desiccant flow path through the vessel from the inlet to the outlet. The baffled vessel is fixed within another longitudinally horizontal pressure vessel so as to define a chamber therebetween. Dried gas and wet desiccant are discharged from the inner or baffled vessel into the chamber where they are gravity separated, the dried gas flowing to an outlet on top of the outer vessel and the wet desiccant flowing to a sump at the bottom of the outer vessel.

  • Patent number: 6019817
Abstract: A system for capturing HAPs/VOCs from an existing or planned air stream and destroying the contaminants in the air stream by microbial degradation is disclosed. In general, the system is composed of a reservoir with a filter structure positioned above it. The filter structure contains a capture or filtration media through which contaminated air or vapors must pass. HAPs/VOCs in the air or vapors are filtered out and absorbed by the capture media. The reservoir contains a tank water bath that is inoculated with microorganisms that are selected to degrade the hazardous materials or pollutants removed by the capture media. Sprinkler heads above the filter structure spray the filter structure with a sprayed water bath also inoculated with the microorganisms, whereby contaminants caught in the filter structure are leached out and bioremediated.
