    Abstract: An impact test apparatus can be used to determine particle interfacial energies with varying relative air humidity. It was observed that capillary condensation increased the adhesive forces of hydrophilic materials. A systems humidity separation window was identified and the differences in interfacial energy for a hydrophilic surface and for a hydrophobic surface can be exploited in order to achieve the separation of particles. Separation and concentration of particles, particularly particles within a mineral ore body, can be obtained.

They are fabricated by assembling several plastic-rod-screen-fills which are made with plastic rods. Water supplied from the top of devices, flowing down on the surface of rods, cools air or absorbs ammonia gas and water vapor by contacting with air traveling transversely to the descent of water on the surface of plastic rods by means of forced draft.

The discharge tube has a plurality of nozzles and a fluid source is placed in communication with the nozzles such that the nozzles discharge fluid particles that are entrained in a high velocity air flow exiting from the discharge tube distal end. A baffle member is deployed downstream of the blower unit at an elevation above the blower unit so as to alter a flow path of ambient air flowing through a discharge path of the blower unit.

The scrubber is distinguished in includes a fluid inlet that either is tangentially oriented relative to the inner wall of the scrubber or equipped with a deflection plate, such that introduced fluid is directed tangentially horizontal or with a small downward slope along the inner wall of the scrubber, into and through a fluid way arranged as a downwards directed spiral within the scrubber, along the inner wall, from a level over or at the inlet to a level at or close to the outlet for liquid, with an opening for gas escape inwards toward the center of the scrubber. The scrubber according to the invention results in very low liquid entrainment.
