Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a cleaning process of wheat flour milling for peeling off the pericarp only, and a set of equipment for implementing the process. The method comprises four stages, namely, cleaning of raw wheat, pericarp peeling-off, cleaning of glossy wheat, and conditioning stage, wherein the peeling-off stage comprises a dampening step and a stirring step. The process only debrans most of the pericarp, without damaging the seed coat. Thus, this greatly reduces the probability of the seed coat being grinded into gluten powder and mixed into wheat flour, thereby reducing the ash content in the wheat flour. The set of equipment obviates a washer, thus conserving water resource and preventing water pollution.
Abstract: An apparatus and methods for splitting apart a pomegranate fruit employ a pair of elongated splitting levers and a pivoting connecting mechanism, carried on the pair of elongated levers. Each one of the elongated levers has a penetrating end and a shape configured to enable the pair of elongated levers to be arranged in a substantially closed configuration in contact or contiguous lengthways with one another to form a penetrating structure to enable the elongated levers to be at least partially inserted into a pomegranate. The elongated splitting levers are hingedly connectable at the penetrating ends by the pivoting connecting mechanism which is configured to outwardly pivot the elongated splitting levers from the substantially closed configuration into a substantially open configuration in response to forcing the elongated splitting levers apart about a fulcrum.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a vegetable delivery device for use in trimming roots and tops from bulbs such as onions. The device comprises a frame, a bottom conveyance means and a top conveyance means composed of a chain and gear system with a common synchronized drive. Concave cups are synchronously positioned in opposition to grasp and secure a vegetable as the conveyance means passes the vegetable to, through and past a cutting means. A wheel or skid means exerts a downward force against the top conveyance means proximal the cutting means as an additional manner of securing the vegetable as it passes the cutting means.
Abstract: A preferred device for making cream-style corn includes a corn-receiving member and a blade member. The corn-receiving member incorporates a first open end and defines an interior that is configured to receive at least a portion of an ear of corn. The blade member includes a blade that is movably mounted within the interior so as to be movable between a retracted position and an extended position. In the extended position, the blade is configured to engage an ear of corn inserted into the interior of the corn-receiving member so that, as the ear of corn is rotated about its longitudinal axis, the blade tears open individual kernels of the ear of corn and allows liquid and fibrous contents of the kernels to drain into the corn-receiving member. Systems and methods also are provided.
Abstract: An apparatus for cutting kernels of fresh corn from ears thereof and recovering kernels and cream therefrom for eating or preserving for future eating. The apparatus comprises a hand-held electric drill having a drill bit adapted to grip the ear at its stalk-end while the drill rotates the ear about the axis of the drill while pressing the ear into cutting tube having screw points projecting inwardly thereof causing said kernels to be ripped from the ear and discharged along with corn cream downwardly by gravity into a receiver for further processing.
Abstract: By rotating a seed agitater means such as a rotary cutter within a seed container in which seeds such as of spinach and lawn grass are admitted, the seeds are peeled to separate seed cores from seed coats while being stirred. The seed cores free from the seed coats are allowed to pass through a screen attached to the bottom of the seed container so as to collect stripped seeds thus obtained. The stripped seeds enjoy a very high rate of germination.
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for the separation of seeds from seed-containing fruit rag or the like, particularly the separation of seeds from citrus fruit rag, which essentially consists of seeds, seed sacks and membranes to which the seeds adhere, and of albedo, and wherein the efficient separation of seeds enables the economical processing utilization of the separated seeds and of the fruit rag for further commercial applications.
Abstract: Apparatus for mechanical separation of the seeds of pomegranates or similar produce comprising a gas jet directed on the portion of the produce to be separated for effecting the separation desired. In particular, such apparatus comprising apparatus for exposing the interior of the produce, apparatus for supporting the produce such that its interior is exposed, and a gas jet arranged so as to direct a flow of pressurized gas against the exposed interior of the produce thereby effecting the desired separation.

Abstract: An apparatus for forming gemmas to be treated to control the blight of sugar cane stumps consists of a hollow rotatable shaft and a rotatable thimble extending from one end of the shaft. An axially movable punch member is mounted in alignment with the thimble so that a piece of material such as sugar cane culm can be placed between the punch and thimble and have the gemma or bud portion punched out by axial movement of the punch member. The punched out portions are expelled and collected at the opposite end of the hollow shaft. The entire apparatus is mounted on a metal frame.
