Abstract: A an improvement in a two wheel motor vehicle having an internal combustion motor and a wheel drive mechanism, wherein the motor has an exhaust system connected thereto, includes a) an exhaust system having a first exhaust pipe and a second exhaust pipe with the first exhaust pipe being in a fixed position relative to the internal combustion motor, and the second exhaust being rotatably connected to the first exhaust pipe, and b) an exhaust pipe drive mechanism connected to the second exhaust pipe for rotation of the second exhaust pipe. The pipe drive mechanism may operate off some power source of the vehicle, operate independently of the vehicle power sources, may operate from exiting exhaust gases, ambient wind form motion of the vehicle, or a combination of the foregoing.

Abstract: An exhaust muffler with a single-wall shell having a first end and a second end features a plurality of embossments formed on the shell and extending from the first end of the muffler to the second end of the muffler. The embossments are arranged in a pattern such that any straight line extending from the first end to the second end intersects at least one of the embossments, thereby imparting increased stiffness to the muffler shell. Each of the embossments preferably have an elliptical shape and are arranged in rows extending substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the muffler. The embossments in any given row are rotated ninety degrees from the embossments in preceding and succeeding rows and are spaced to provide an interlocking pattern.

Abstract: An exhaust device includes a housing, a drive unit, and an electric generator. The housing includes a tubular wall with a tube axis, and a mounting wall transverse to the tube axis. The tubular wall has an inlet end portion to be connected to a source of exhaust gas. The housing is formed with a vent for discharging the exhaust gas. The drive unit includes a drive shaft disposed in the housing, and an impeller connected to the drive shaft such that the exhaust gas received from the source can drive rotation of the drive shaft. The electric generator includes a stator mounted on the mounting wall, and a rotor coupled to the drive shaft such that the rotor is rotatable with the drive shaft relative to the stator to generate electricity for operating a load, such as a lamp unit.
