Abstract: A pop-up apparatus for a portable communication device for insertion or ejection of parts of the portable communication device is provided. The pop-up apparatus preferably includes a body housing, a pop-up housing embedded in the body housing and inserted into or ejected from the body housing. The insertion or ejection can be performed by applying pressure to button on a surface thereof in a direction that it is pressed, and at least one or more pop-up hinge portions are provided between the body housing and the pop-up housing to insert the pop-up housing into or eject the pop-up housing from the body housing by pressing of the pop-up housing.

Abstract: An apparatus including a first housing section having a first one-piece housing member; a second housing section having a second one-piece housing member; and a hinge rotatably connecting the first and second housing sections to each other. The hinge includes the first housing member forming a first hinge section at a first end of the first housing section which is pivotably connected to a second hinge section formed by the second housing member at a second end of the second housing member. The first and second hinge sections form opposite outer lateral ends of the hinge. The first and second hinge sections are spaced from outer lateral sides of the first and second housing sections. An axis of rotation of the hinge extends generally between the outer lateral sides.

Abstract: A wireless communication device includes a wireless communication device housing member, and a modular keypad removably attachable to the wireless communication device housing member without use of a separate tool.
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a mobile phone comprising a body and a housing. A hollow is formed within the housing and the body is slidably disposed in the hollow. The hollow has an opening in an end of the housing and the other end terminated at a closed end of the housing distal the opening. A display (e.g., LCD (liquid crystal display)) is disposed on a front surface of the housing. The body comprises a circuit board and an input device. The circuit board is installed within the body and comprises electronic circuits and devices for controlling the components of the mobile phone. The input device (e.g., alphanumeric keypad) is disposed on a front surface of the body for operating the mobile phone. The body is capable of being engaged with the housing and being slid towards outside of the hollow through the opening to expose the input device for a user to make a phone call.
Abstract: A personal data assistant (PDA) carrying case includes a main body (10), an expansion cover (40) having a first clasp (46) extending therefrom, a resilient clip (22) mounted on the main body, and a button (29). An opening (33) is defined in the main body for matching the expansion cover. A locking edge (36) is formed for engaging with the first clasp. A through hole (24) is defined in main body corresponding to the first clasp. The resilient clip has a projecting portion (222) corresponding to the through hole. The resilient clip deforms elastically to have the projecting portion pressing the button, so that the button drives the first clasp to disengage the first clasp from the locking edge of the main body.
