Abstract: A musical box including a base, a seat having a casing, a spiral spring fitted within the casing, a control lever connected to the spring, a drum having a first end and a second end, a gear fixedly mounted on the first end of the drum, a gear train connected to the spring and engaging the gear, a hitting member fixedly mounted on the seat and having a plurality of tines in contact with the drum, a disc fixedly connected to the second end of the drum and being provided with an eccentric pin, a frame having a first leg and a second leg, a second gear meshed with the gear, an axle extending downward and vertically through the frame and engaging the second gear, an arm sleeved over the axle and connected to the hole of the disc, a guide member fixedly mounted on the arm and having an elongated slot adapted to receive the eccentric pin of the disc, a connector attached to the axle, and a sleeve fitted over the axle, whereby a doll can be moved upward and downward alternately by the guide member and rotated by the
Abstract: An ornamental display is disclosed in which an ornament is attached to a follower arm which is integrally formed as a single unit with the follower body. The follower body is guided by one or more guide rods attached to either a cover or a base. The base supports a music box mechanism which imparts reciprocating movement to the follower via a crank mechanism which is rotated by the rotating drum of the music box mechanism and which engages the follower body. The guide rods slidably extend through the follower body so as to limit the reciprocating movement of the follower to translational movement. The ornament may be attached at any location along the follower arm to preserve flexibility regarding the positional relationship between the ornament and the music box mechanism. The device is simplified over the prior art devices, since the follower arm extends from the follower body in cantilevered fashion such that the distal end of the follower arm is unsupported.
Abstract: A music box mainly comprises a base, a seat, a frame, an arm, a fixing member, a first gear, a supporter, a second gear, a third gear, a first axle, a second axle, a third axle, a rack, a lever, a disc, a screw, a first doll, a second doll, and a third doll, whereby the first doll will be able to sway backwards and forwards, the second doll to rotate, and the third doll to move backwards and forwards.
Abstract: A music box including a base, a seat having a casing, a spiral spring fitted within the casing, a control lever connected to the spiral spring, a drum having a first end and a second end, a gear fixedly mounted the first end of the drum, a gear train connected to the spiral spring and engaging the gear, a hitting member fixedly mounted on the seat and having a plurality of tines in contact with the drum, a frame having a first leg fixedly mounted on the hitting member and a second leg fixedly mounted on the seat, a second gear meshed with the gear, an axle extending downward and vertically through the frame to engage with the second gear, a rack having a hole at one end and a pair of prongs at another, a linking member arranged on the rack and fixedly connected with the top end of the axle at a center, a slide slidably fitted between the prongs of the rack, a crank connected with the slide at one end and with an outer portion of the linking member at another end, a shaft vertically mounted on the slide, and a
Abstract: A motion generation mechanism particularly adapted for use in a music box is mounted in connection to the driving spring of a music box so as to permit the motion generation mechanism to actuate the head and limbs of a doll-like object to motion in tune with the music played by the music box. The motion generation mechanism is equipped with a first swing wire and follower arm wherein the follower arm is actuated by the swing wire to produce a swinging motion and a driving shaft associated with the follower arm is accordingly twisted back and forth. In the meanwhile, the second, third and fourth sets of swing wires and follower arms are driven by the back and forth twisted driving shaft to produce repetitive swing motions, causing the head, limbs of a doll-like object to move or dance in tune with the music.

Abstract: A portable apparatus suitable for use by a waitress for carrying money and making change which includes a signaling device for emitting a signal each time the apparatus is opened. The apparatus also includes a counter which counts and records the number of times the apparatus is opened.
Abstract: A novelty music box is set forth wherein a deer-like configuration is provided with a bifurcated forward plate, a bifurcated rear plate, and a central torso, with a deer-like head outline secured to an uppermost portion of the forward bifurcated plate. A mechanical sound-generating music box is secured to the forward plate within the torso and includes a hollow shaft extending through the music box and directed exteriorly thereof through the head-like outline terminating in a glove containing a luminescent bulb therewithin. The luminescent bulb is intermittently actuated by use of a sprocket secured to a rear terminal end of the shaft that intermittently engages a spring finger to create intermittent illumination of the bulb.
Abstract: A musical faucet for producing a musical tune upon the opening of a water tap including a waterpower take-off in the form of a water wheel located within a water conduit; a musical comb with tuned tines; and a rotatable striker member, preferably in the form of a cylinder or endless belt, having a multiplicity of striker pins for impacting the tines of the comb to produce music. The striker member is powered by the water wheel and may be integral therewith. The comb and striker member may be connected externally to the water conduit or may be within the conduit. A sealed housing or a cavitation baffle may be used when the comb and striker member are located within the water conduit.
