Abstract: The project of the present disclosure is to provide a measure for easily putting an earthworm and the like onto a fishhook without causing a finger to touch the earthworm. [Solution] A bait hooking device 1 is provided with: a first clamping component 2 having a first clamping portion 23 and a fishhook guide member on the front end side 2b, wherein the first clamping component 2 is connected with the start end side 2a to enable opening and closing by a shaft; a second clamping component 3 provided with a second clamping portion 33 on the front end side 3b; a guide rod 41 provided between the first clamping component 2 and the second clamping component 3 and running through a bait clamped to the first clamping portion 23 and the second clamping portion 33, so as to be clamped to a fishhook guided by the fishhook guide member; and a bait moving component 5 having a pressing portion 52 close to the guide rod 41 and causing the pressing portion 52 to move along the guide rod 41 to the fishhook side.
