Abstract: In a case in which a microwave-assisted magnetic recording system is applied to a shingled write system for recording with high density, the width of a high-frequency generation element is narrower than a track width of main pole, and both steep parts of magnetic field gradients 24 and 25 are overlap each other by performing offset of a high-frequency magnetic field generating unit 17 of the magnetic head for shingled write from the central line of the main pole 8 in the both areas having high magnetic field gradient.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a multilevel recording method and system thereof. The multilevel recording method applied to a recording media comprises the following steps. At First, a plurality of beams are provided to a recording layer of the recording media, and the recording layer has a first structure and a second structure. Then, a first polarized reflected light of the first structure and a second polarized reflected light of the second structure are detected by a detecting unit. Then, a corresponding table is stored by a storing unit. The corresponding table comprises a relationship between the different angle of the polarized reflected light and a level of multilevel recording. Finally, the processing unit looks up the corresponding table to process multilevel recording.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention provide systems and methods for reduced latency feedback in a data processing system. For example, some embodiments provide a data processing system that includes a variable gain amplifier, a processing circuit, a data detector, and an error signal calculation circuit. The variable gain amplifier amplifies a data input signal and provides an amplified signal. The processing circuit generates a signal output corresponding to the amplified signal, and includes a conditional multiplication circuit. The conditional multiplication circuit conditionally multiplies the signal output by a gain correction signal and provides the result as an interim output. The data detector applies a data detection algorithm to the signal output and provides an ideal output. The error signal calculation circuit generates a gain correction signal based at least in part on the interim output and a derivative of the ideal output.

Abstract: In a recording/reproducing apparatus, a pair of detection sliders, in which pins coming into contact with an outer peripheral edge of a storage medium being inserted are formed and which approach and are separated from each other, are disposed in the vicinity of a storage medium insert port, and a detection lever coupled with one of the pins is rotatably and slidably attached to a frame. Further, the recording/reproducing apparatus has a support member, which is slid by being pressed by the outer peripheral edge of the storage medium being inserted, and an intermediate guide lever rotated in association with a sliding operation of the support member. Two select grooves are formed in the detection lever, and a first projecting piece, which is selectively fit into the select grooves, is disposed in the intermediate guide lever.
