The data center management and monitoring operation includes: identifying a headless data center asset within a data center; identifying a baseboard management controller associated with a data center asset within the data center; accessing the baseboard management controller associated with the data center asset; and, programming the headless data center asset via the baseboard management controller associated with the data center asset, the programming propagating headless data center asset unique information from the baseboard management controller to the headless data center asset.

Abstract: A coordinated network configuration system includes a management network, a management device that is coupled to the management network and that is configured to provision networking device configurations through the management network, and a plurality of networking devices. A first networking device is coupled to the management device through the management network and receives a first networking device configuration from the management device through the management network. The first networking device then stores the first networking device configuration. The first networking device then determines that each of the plurality of networking devices have received respective networking device configurations and, in response, performs coordinated configuration operations using the first networking device configuration while each of the others of the plurality of networking devices performs the coordinated configuration operations using their respective networking device configurations.

Abstract: A networked system includes a first information handling system (IHS) including a plurality of first IHS components and a second IHS coupled to the first IHS. A system management IHS is coupled to the first IHS and operable to discover the first IHS and the second IHS. The system management IHS then determines a plurality of relationships between the first IHS components and the second IHS and stores the plurality of relationships. The system management IHS then determines that the second IHS requires configuration. The system management IHS then determines that the at least some of the first IHS components have a relationship with the second IHS using the plurality of relationships. The system management IHS then sends an instruction to configure the at least some of the first IHS components having the relationships with the second IHS according to the configuration required for the second IHS.

Abstract: Aspects of the present invention include a digitized release notes configured to be automatically consumed by a management system or database and can be intelligently leveraged by the management systems for numerous purposes. In embodiments, having a repository of release notes contents, a management system can support various levels of queries for making or proposing solutions for an administrator while also providing a general overview of the release contents in a user consumable format. One advantage to such implementations is the time saved by administrators in gathering all the required information for each piece of the equipment under management. All the release notes information is readily at hand, even if the latest release is not currently installed in the production environment. Furthermore, this allows for flexibility in developing deployment plans (i.e., whether certain firmware/software is required to be updated, how an update affects other equipment, prioritization of updates, etc.).
