    Abstract: The present invention relates to a sidewalk and driveway digging and boring bar device. The bar is designed for excavating a cavity underneath a sidewalk area to accommodate piping and wiring, and also for removing dirt and debris from the cavity. The bar features an elongated shaft having a first end and a second end, wherein a pointed head is permanently secured to the first end of the elongated shaft, and a rounded head portion is permanently secured to the second end of the elongated shaft. The pointed head has a pointed end for penetrating the sidewalk to create a cavity in the sidewalk and the rounded head is used for removing dirt and debris from the created cavity. The bar is inserted into the sidewalk by holding the elongated shaft and applying a downward force.

    Abstract: An underground storage system for drip irrigation products is described herein. Drip irrigation systems may include an outlet connected to a tube filled with continuously flowing water, in which the water pressure must be high enough to force droplets out of the outlet and onto the soil. This is controlled by an irrigation control valve. The droplets then deposit on the surface of the soil surrounding the plant. Herein lays the problem, as excessive heat may cause the water to evaporate, ceasing any function that the drip irrigation provides. Utilizing a water tight, underground storage method, the invention would deliver water directly to the roots. This would help with the problem of evaporation and decrease water irrigation needs.

    Abstract: An irrigation solenoid valve switch assembly is operable on a mesh network. The assembly uses a mesh network to transmit valve command signals that control the timing and amount of water discharged through a solenoid valve in multiple agricultural zones. A solenoid valve regulates the flow of water. A clock, or agricultural controller, generates valve command signals that control the timing and amount of water discharged through the solenoid valve. A hub controller operatively connects to the clock. The hub controller transmits the valve command signals over the mesh network. A switch operatively connects to the solenoid valve. The switch receives the valve command signals to control the solenoid valve, in correspondence to the valve command signals. The switch has a rechargeable battery that feeds direct current to the switch for operation of the solenoid valve. Multiple relay signal repeaters carry the valve command signals across the mesh network.

    Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to root zone moisture estimation for vegetation cover using remote sensing. Conventionally, it is challenging to estimate root zone soil moisture using only satellite data. Moreover, estimation of soil moisture under vegetation cover based on bare surface soil moisture and vegetation parameters is not available. The disclosed method and system facilitate estimation of an ensemble of soil moisture under vegetation cover and root zone soil moisture using process based soil water balance for spatial estimation of root zone soil moisture. The system estimates bare surface soil moisture for different soil types/textures using the baseline bare surface model and soil properties derived from satellite data and in-situ sensors. The method further provides temporal spatially distributed soil moisture inputs to an intelligent irrigation management/information system which is very important to reduce and regulate water consumption.
