Patent number: 9210950Abstract: The invention concerns a personal juice extractor system including a blending and pressing apparatus where a user places a container charged with food or beverage or any combination thereof in a container chamber. After the start button is pressed, a blending tool attached to a shaft along with a cover are lowered into the container until the cover seals the open top of the container. The blending tool is axially rotated until a desired consistency is achieved. The cover then presses down on the blended contents, forcing liquid to flow out an outlet in the bottom of the container and into an external cup for consumption. The cover, shaft, and blending tool are retracted and then the container is removed from the container chamber and discarded or cleaned for reuse.Type: GrantFiled: April 17, 2014Date of Patent: December 15, 2015Assignee: DesJardin, LLCInventors: Nathan Mark DesJardin, Matthew C. Patent number: 7562621Abstract: A bidirectional lens pressing system for use in pressing a lens into a port housing is disclosed. The lens pressing system includes a frame that supports a top motor stage, a bottom motor stage, and an indexing stage. The indexing stage is interposed between the top and bottom motor stages and includes a hole that retains a port housing or other component. The top pressing tool is selectively movable in a first direction by the top motor stage and includes a first engagement surface for engaging the lens. Correspondingly, the bottom pressing tool is selectively movable in a an opposing second direction by the bottom motor stage and includes a second engagement surface for engaging the port housing. The first and second engagement surfaces of the top and bottom pressing tools cooperate to press the lens into the port housing while imposing no net force on the indexing stage.Type: GrantFiled: February 20, 2007Date of Patent: July 21, 2009Assignee: Finisar CorporationInventors: Heide E. Publication number: 20080115678Abstract: An exemplary method, apparatus and system of crushing a bottle may include a barrel for surrounding a bottle. The barrel may have a main body with a threaded outer surface. A plate may be slidably engaged with an inner surface of the barrel at a first end of the barrel. A nut may be operably engaged with the threads on the outer surface of the barrel. A tab portion may be integral with the plate and the tab may be mounted on the nut. A cap may be repeatably attachable to an end of the barrel opposite the plate. Movement of the nut may facilitate movement of the plate and moving the plate in the direction of the lid may crush a bottle within the barrel.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 15, 2007Publication date: May 22, 2008Inventor: Morgan William Weinberg

Patent number: 6755124Abstract: A manually operable press comprises a manually pivotable actuating lever for effecting a forward press stroke and a return stroke of a press slide. A mechanical return stroke interlock inhibits a return movement of the press before the press slide has come to a lower end position of the press stroke. A cam plate within said return stroke interlock is connected for being pivoted together with the actuating lever. The cam plate has a groove-shaped guide cam provided with a plurality of lock protrusions. A spring-biased lock pin runs along the guide cam and is adapted to run freely along the guide ram in an operational direction but is inhibited by the lock protrusions within the guide cam from running in a direction opposite the operational direction. An opening each is provided in the guide cam at the lock protrusions. Unlocking pins are provided in each of the openings.Type: GrantFiled: December 7, 2000Date of Patent: June 29, 2004Assignee: Gebr. Schmidt Fabrik fur Feinmechanik GmbH & Co. Publication number: 20020059871Abstract: A method of laser-assisted pressing is used to adjust the pressing position with a laser projector and an impressible element while pressing an opaque object. The apparatus in this invention is characterized by a platform, a pressing unit with at least one press head, and at least one laser projector for projecting a laser beam to form a light area. The press head presses the impressible element to form a pressure mark indicating the pressing position. The light area is then adjusted to match the pressure mark. Finally, the relative positioning of the platform and the pressing unit is adjusted to match the light area with the area to be pressed. Thus the pressing position will be accurate in the pressing process.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 17, 2001Publication date: May 23, 2002Applicant: Hannstar Display Corp.Inventor: Ching-Chuan Chen
