  • Patent number: 11933070
Abstract: A handle assembly for a door or window comprises a handle and a second element, installable on opposite sides of the door or window, and a pin element rotatable around a pin rotation axis and insertable into the handle or in the second element at variable depths. The handle assembly further comprises a friction reducing group positioned coaxially to the pin element and positionable between the handle and the door or window in the axial direction of the pin rotation axis. Clamping devices constrain the handle and/or the second element on the pin element at adjustable distances along the axial direction according to the thickness of the door or window, so that when the handle assembly is installed on the door or window, an axial clamping pressure of the handle and of the second element is maintained on the respective side of the door or window. An installation method of the handle assembly on the door or window is also provided.

The annular mounting plate is secured on the inner side of the outer knob supporting plate and is formed with a pair of mounting shafts and a central hole to permit the turn shaft of the turning mechanism to extend therethrough. The latch unit is formed with a shaft engaging hole to permit the turn shaft to extend therethrough, and two side holes disposed on two sides of the shaft engaging hole in a lengthwise direction of the latch unit to receive respectively the mounting shafts. The latch unit is disposed between the posts of the outer knob supporting plate.

Abstract: In a lock handle assembly, a lever handle has a rotary shaft to actuate a deadbolt which latches a door. The angular movement of the lever handle is limited by a mechanism including a rotary plate having radially projecting engaging members and mounted on the shaft, a fixed stop member to limit the forward movement of the rotary plate and a releasable stop member to limit the backward movement of the rotary plate. The shaft of the handle is detachably mounted to a casing by being fitted in a sleeve which in turned is mounted to the casing, thereby facilitating the replacement of the handle of the assembly.

  • Patent number: 4877278
Abstract: A shaft of a door handle to be installed in a door includes a limited length threaded segment for engaging a commensurately threaded rose to effect penetration and subsequent threaded disengagement therebetween. The threaded disengagement permits relative rotation without axial displacement and axial withdrawal of the shaft is prevented due to interference between the threaded segments. Upon positional locking of the rose with the door and mating of the door handle with a door bolt, the resulting limited relative rotation between the door handle and the rose in combination with the axial displacement limited by the interfering thread segments prevent threaded disengagement and removal of the door handle.

  • Patent number: 4236396
Abstract: A lockset having a rim mounted latch bolt and a dead bolt arranged in side-by-side relation on a door for engagement within side-by-side openings in a common strike. The dead bolt projects from an edge of the door and is operated from the inside by a turnpiece assembly and from the outside by a key operated lock cylinder mounted in fixed position relative to the door. Inside and outside lever handles journalled for limited angular movement on the turnpiece assembly and on the lock cylinder, respectively, operate the latch bolt from the inner and outer side of the door. The turnpiece assembly is connected to the lock cylinder and the inside lever handle is connected to the outside lever handle through a single transverse bore formed in the door. The present lockset may be installed on a door to replace a cylindrical lockset of key-in-knob type having a single latch bolt without boring an additional hole in the door.
