  • Patent number: 6939074
Abstract: A stem connector assembly includes a connector body formed from a single piece of metal, and having a frame portion and a valve stem passageway extending through the frame portion. In one aspect, the connector body also includes an actuator stem passageway extending through the frame portion, and has a locking unit. The locking unit couples an actuator stem and a valve stem to the connector body. In operation, the stem connector assembly provides for unified movement of the actuator stem and valve stem, permits some misalignment between the two, thus reducing wear of the associated rod and stem components. The stem connector assembly further includes at least one mounting assembly, such as among others at least one NAMUR standard mounting assembly, to facilitate ready mounting of component elements associated with a stem connector assembly, such as a positioner, for example.

  • Patent number: 6902341
Abstract: A turnbuckle linkage assembly is provided for transmitting a force between first and second locations in a machine. The assembly includes a first link for connecting to the first location such as a rod, tube or cable, a second link for connecting to the second location, and a turnbuckle. A first, threaded connection connects the turnbuckle to the first link, and a second connection connects the turnbuckle to the second link. The second connection and the second link are arranged along an axis, and an interference fit at the second connection is formed by the turnbuckle and the second link permitting the turnbuckle to rotate relative to the second link but axially affixing the turnbuckle to the second link.

Abstract: A coupling device for mounting an agricultural implement on a tractor equipped with a belt drive, which includes two coupling halves which are connected to each other by several coupling rods, designed in such a way that no components working on the linear drive principle are needed. The lower right and left coupling rods include in each case a lower front and a lower rear rod section which are connected to each other, and which are freely movable relative to each other. One end of the lower rear rod section carries an expanded portion, which is located inside a housing of the end region of the lower front rod section. A plurality of elastically deformable equalizing bodies are inserted between the inner surfaces of the housing of the end region and the outer surfaces of the expanded portion, limiting the movement of the lower rear rod section in relation to the lower front rod section.

Each coupling is constituted by at least one driving element which is eccentric with respect to the rotation axis and is rigidly coupled to a first component of the motion transmission system and by at least one driven element, which is also eccentric with respect to the rotation axis and is rigidly coupled to the component arranged kinematically after the preceding one. The angle covered by the elements of each coupling is, as a whole, less than a round angle. • Patent number: 6325566
Abstract: A load-sensing, multi-axis connector is disclosed which comprises a series of complimentary leaf springs, which are connected by load cells through spherical bearings. These leaf springs resist the axial displacement of their attached load cells, but are isolated from non-axial displacements and moments due to the spherical bearings. These leaf springs are attached to a first end connector and a second end connector, which are in turn attached to the two objects that are to be connected. Using the load-sensing, multi-axis connector, two objects can be connected, even where the two objects are undergoing high displacements, and the stresses caused by the relative displacement of the two objects can be monitored.
