Abstract: A shaving demonstration method having a step of providing a first shaving razor with a shaving surface having at least one blade with a cutting edge. A transparent first surface is provided. The shaving surface the first shaving razor contacts the transparent first surface. Another step includes illustrating the shaving surface of the first shaving razor against the transparent first surface through a transparent second surface opposite the first surface. The first shaving razor is moved along the transparent first surface.
Abstract: A portable apparatus and method for demonstrating different characteristics of different fluids that includes different fluid sumps or chambers for receiving samples of the different fluids. A test shaft having different portions that are immersed in the different fluid samples in the chambers is driven by an electric drive motor at a substantially constant speed while substantially the same amount of friction or force is applied to the different portions of the test shaft at different times to increase the resistance presented to the drive motor. The additional amount of current drawn or power absorbed by the motor or strain induced in the motor drive shaft during the application of such friction or force to the different portions of the test shaft is monitored and compared to provide a comparison of the friction or power loss characteristics of the different fluid samples.
Abstract: A display device for the sale of automotive motor oil or other automotive fluids includes a plurality of transparent containers juxtaposed with respect to each other. Motor oil or a predetermined type of automotive fluid, or its visual equivalent, is provided within predetermined ones of the containers, each of the containers having therein the fluid, or its visual equivalent, which has been subjected to automotive use for a predetermined period different from the period of use of the fluid within each of the other ones of the predetermined containers.
