  • Patent number: 9845616
Abstract: A lockset comprises an upper shell and a bottom plate which are fixedly connected to each other. An accommodating space is formed between the upper shell and the bottom plate. A jack is provided on the surface of the upper shell. A locking mechanism is provided within the accommodating space. The locking mechanism comprises a locking hook fitted with the jack and a control device for controlling the locking hook to move. The locking hook comprises a hook portion accessible to the underneath of the jack and a connection portion controlled by the control device. When a code is correct, the hook portion may move toward one side of the jack; and, when the code is wrong, the connection portion is limited by the control device, and the hook portion is limited underneath the jack.

  • Patent number: 9021676
Abstract: A method of preventing a first door on an over-the-road vehicle from moving from a closed position into an open position. The first door has a first latch assembly that cooperates with a second latch assembly to releasably maintain the first door in its closed position. One of the first and second latch assemblies is maintained in place by at least one fastener extended into a first opening. With the at least one fastener loosened, the first locking assembly is placed on one of: a) one of the doors; or b) the vehicle frame after which a fastener is tightened into the first opening to thereby: i) maintain one of the first and second latch assemblies in place and secure the operatively placed first locking assembly. With the first door in the closed position, a locking device can be connected to the first locking assembly and another part on the vehicle to thereby maintain the first door in the closed position.

  • Patent number: 7634878
Abstract: A locking mechanism for a hurricane panel installation protectively covering a window of a building, the panel installation including a panel member sized to cover the window, a header attached to the building above the window for securing an upper edge of the panel member, and a lower F-track attached to the building below the window which supports attaching bolts which pass through and secure a lower edge of the panel member. The locking mechanism includes a padlock having a hasp securely positionable in a hasp receiving arrangement to prevent substantial movement of the lower edge of the panel member and unauthorized removal of the panel member.

  • Patent number: 4793163
Abstract: A hasp-type latch includes a hasp member with a base having a base wall and a pair of upstanding side walls and a latch arm which is pivotally mounted thereon. The side walls of the pad include releasable latching elements which are engageable with the arm in its open position to hold it in that position. The staple member has a base with a top wall and a depending sidewall defining a cavity thereunder, and the top wall has an opening therethrough. A post member has a pedestal portion which extends through the opening into the cavity of the staple base, and a post portion which extends upwardly through the aperture in the arm in its closed position. The pedestal portion includes securing means in the cavity which extends outwardly beyond the opening in the top wall to prevent the post member from being pulled through that opening. Generally the post member is rotatable to locate an elongate axis so that it overlies a portion of the hinge leaf in the closed position and prevents its being pivoted upwardly.

  • Patent number: 4788837
Abstract: A hasp-type includes a hasp member with a base having a latch leaf is pivotally mounted thereon and has an aperture adjacent its free end. The post member has an enlarged portion about its periphery and is rotatable to locate its elongate axis so that it overlies a portion of the latch leaf in the closed position and prevents its being pivoted upwardly. The post member includes a manipulatable releasable latch element engageable with the staple member in its latching position, and a combination lock on the post member precludes disengagement of the latch element when it is locked.
