At least one of the links includes at least one first casing shell and at least one second casing shell, wherein the first casing shell is connected to the second casing shell in a form-fitting manner in order to form a hollow link, and wherein structure connecting the casing shells includes at least one zip fastener.

Abstract: A device releasably attachable to a zippered compartment so as to secure the compartment against unauthorized access is disclosed. The device includes an anchor for mounting the device to the zippered compartment, and a releasable lock for engaging the body of a slider head of the zippered compartment. The anchor includes a clamp, clip, and contact surfaces so as to engage a portion of the zippered closure of the zippered compartment. The releasable lock includes a latch that releasably engages the body of a standard slider head of the zippered closure. When the device is removed from the zippered compartment, the zippered closure is left in its original, unmodified condition.

The lock has a pole to receive zipper pullers and a movable cover plate to block the pole when the lock is in the locked mode. The lock has a control plate with release slots. The control plate can be shifted only if the dials are set to the correct combination or when a correct key is used to turn a tumbler cylinder. The cover plate is engaged with a latch having a latch finger. When the lock is in the locked mode, the latch finger is blocked by the control plate, restricting movement of the latch. When the lock is in the unlocked mode, the latch finger can be moved into a release slot, allowing the latch and cover plate to move in order to clear the pole.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a combination and keyed bag lock with a pop-up hood. In one embodiment, a lock having a post and a rigid seat with a fixed rim is provided. A hood with a cylinder received within the post and an arm extending from the post is further provided. A key hole is within the cylinder. The arm of the hood houses a combination lock. A knob is rotatable relative the cylinder, and the hood pops up under actuation of the knob when the combination is accurately entered. The hood also pops up when the key is used to unlock the lock. The arm separates vertically from the seat when the hood pops up thereby allowing the body of a slide fastener to exit the lock.

Abstract: By providing two separate and independent locking system formed in a single padlock construction which is employed for securely holding and locking zipper pull tabs, an effective, easily produced, padlock is achieved which is responsive to both a combination controlled locking system and a key controlled locking system for independently enabling the zipper pull tabs to be released and/or lockingly engaged in response to the activation of either locking system. In the present invention, an easily assembled, compact, highly efficient dual mode, zipper pull locking system is achieved by employing a pair of spring biased locking latch members which are constructed for being inserted in the apertures formed in each of the conventional zipper pulls/tabs employed on luggage, briefcases, and the like.

Abstract: A horizontal locking case lock includes a coupler fastened to a case and a lock with a housing surface latchable horizontally by the coupler for locking. The coupler includes at least a first wedge portion and at least one latch trough. The lock contains a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism drives and controls movement of a first retainer to further drive a second retainer to force a steel ball into or out of the latch trough, thereby control locking or unlocking of the coupler and the lock. Such a structure can safely lock the case at a public location to avert hitting and pilferage.

Abstract: A locking zipper includes a zip retainer and a zip fastener for zipping two elongated engaging tracks locating alongside of each other. The zip retainer includes a retention base, and a locking head integrally extended from the retention base. The zip fastener includes a sliding base and a key-free locker which is integrally provided at the sliding base and is releasably engaged with the locking head. At a zipped position, the sliding base is slid to the retention base for zipping the engaging tracks with each other that the key-free locker is locked with the locking head to securely lock up the zip fastener with the zip retainer. At an unzipped position, the key-free locker is released from the locking head such that the sliding base is slid away from the retention base for unzipping the engaging tracks from each other.

Abstract: A zipper password lock includes a lock tongue and a lock body assembly. The lock tongue includes a first engaging member disposed at a side of the lock tongue. The lock body assembly includes a housing having a lock groove for the lock tongue to be inserted into and a mounting base for securing the housing, and a dial wheel connected to a side of the housing, the dial wheel including a first side with a plurality of marks visible to a user and a second side including a password portion corresponding to one of the marks and a plurality of locking portions respectively corresponding to the other marks.

The lockable member is adapted to secure and lock the closing member and the removable end of the handle to the body when the closing member is moved to the second position to protect the bag and the items contained in the bag from being taken.

Abstract: A lock for luggage, sports gear or any type of travel enclosure which can be operated by a key, combination or both, which has at least one removable shackle. The lock has one shackle that secures the lock to the luggage or luggage handle while the other shackle secures the luggage closure or zipper. An addition shackle is provided for the purpose of re-closing the luggage after the luggage is inspected by an international airport security agent. If the luggage is inspected, the inspector simply cuts the zipper shackle and re-secures the luggage using the additional or third shackle. A disposable shackle system allows the customer to replace the cut shackle and return the lock to its original condition for reuse.

Abstract: A bag comprising a lockable pouch and a lockable handle is disclosed. The bag comprises a locking mechanism that secures the contents of the bag by securing a sliding fastener in place. In one embodiment, the handle and sliding fastener are both secured via a common key-operated mechanism. A handle that is removal at one end allows the handle to be placed around a stationary object as to secure the bag to that object while unattended. A single control is provided conveniently to release both the sliding fastener and the handle. The handle is comprised of a flexible yet strong material, such as a metal cable.

A single control is provided conveniently to release both the sliding fastener and the handle. The handle is comprised of a flexible yet strong material, such as a metal cable.
