  • Patent number: 8067112
Abstract: There is provided a stacked lithium secondary battery in which a plurality of cathode plates and a plurality of anode plates are alternatively facing each other, and its fabrication method. The method comprises adhering a plurality of anode plates to a portion of one surface of a separator onto which the anode plates are neighboring one another, adhering a plurality of cathode plates to a portion of the other surface of the separator onto which the cathode plates are neighboring one another, covering either the cathode or anode plates with the separator by folding the portion to which no electrode plate is adhered, successively folding the separator in a fixed one-direction along folding lines formed between the electrode plates to obtain a stacked body, and housing the obtained stacked body within a pouch, followed by injection of an electrolyte solution and packaging.

  • Patent number: 7520987
Abstract: Methods, systems and apparatus are provided for purging an adsorptive material of entrapped particulates. Methods, systems and apparatus rely upon a reverse loop for reversing the flow of medium within an adsorption material, allowing particulates caught within the adsorption material to be preferentially moved through and out of the adsorption material.

  • Patent number: 6735462
Abstract: An infrared imaging system (10) includes a catheter (11). The catheter is inserted into a small passageway, such as a blood vein (23), in order to collect infrared information from the vein. The information is refracted by at least one lens (32, 46, 52, 57, 63) in a collecting section (17, 45, 56, 61) of the catheter, and is imaged onto the ends (38) of an array of optical fibers (34). The fibers transmit the information to a relay lens (42), which images the information onto respective detector elements of an infrared detector (12). The infrared detector converts the information received from the relay lens into electrical information, which is transmitted to a circuit (13). The circuit generates electrical data that is transmitted to a display (16), which displays a visible image based on the infrared radiation emitted by the scene.

  • Patent number: 4274769
Abstract: An impregnated diamond drill bit having a generally cylindrical, hollow crown structure with a lower portion containing diamond particles and a steel shank attached to the crown structure at its upper end. The diamond particles are dispersed within a metal matrix in the lower portion of the crown. Around both the outside circumferential wall and the inside circumferential wall of portions of the crown structure, there are layers of a highly wear resistant material. These layers are formed of a material that is more wear resistant than the material used for the metal matrix in which the diamond particles are dispersed.

  • Patent number: 4230758
Abstract: A fluorine resin coated aluminum structure comprising:(a) an aluminum substrate with a roughened surface;(b) a coating of aluminum oxide formed on the surface of the aluminum substrate; and(c) a baked coating of a fluorine resin firmly bonded to the aluminum oxide coating, the fluorine resin coating having a thickness of about 5 to about 100 microns and a surface roughness represented by an R.sub.max value of about 5 to about 60 (.mu.) and an R.sub.z value of about 4 to about 50 (.mu.). This aluminum structure is especially useful as a material for cookware because of its superior anti-stick and low friction characteristics and the good adhesion of the resin coating to the substrate.
