Abstract: A pack of bags with a sleeve that provides an envelope for the pack of bags is disclosed. In the plurality of bag units in the pack of plastic bags, each front sheet and back sheet is cut to form an opening and a grab tab for each bag. A tongue may be inserted in the opening to push forward the grab tab when the pack of plastic bags is suspended from a rack.

Abstract: A rack for hanging packs of plastic bags, the rack having side protectors to direct attention to the top center of the front of a bag to ease opening of the bag.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a transparent medium incorporating the oxidative polymerization of 3-hydroxykynurenine, a synthetic version of the yellow-to-brown pigment that occurs in the ocular crystalline lens with age. Because this coloration in the ocular lens is believed to offer photoprotection to the retina, it may represent an ideal sun lens filter with an optical transmission spectrum that is compatible with the psychophysical and neuro-physiological characteristics of the vision system.
Abstract: A method of manufacturing an incandescent lamp and a lamp produced by such method are disclosed. An inert gas is injected to the interior of the lamp through an injection tube to displace substantially all of another gas and to remove the said another gas from the interior of the lamp. The lamp is sealed by press sealing the base of the lamp to trap the inert gas in the interior of the lamp.

Abstract: Substituted phenethanol ethers are prepared by the catalytic reduction of corresponding substituted phenylglyoxal acetals. The catalytic reduction is carried out by reacting a substituted phenylglyoxal acetal with hydrogen in the presence of an acid catalyst and a metal catalyst. Certain substituted phenylglyoxal acetals, and more particularly, 4-hydroxyphenylglyoxal dialkyl acetals are prepared by reacting 4-hydroxyacetophenone with a primary or a secondary alkyl alcohol in the presence of a hydrogen ion (H+) source and a nitrosonium ion (NO+) source.

Abstract: A flexible connector is disclosed for connecting one section of a curtain rod to another section of a curtain rod and for forming an easily adjustable transition corner between the two sections. The connector includes snaps and stops for locking the connection between the connector and the two curtain rod sections.
Abstract: A heat exchanger is disclosed for heating air entering a combustion gas turbine to increase the power output of the turbine when the turbine operates in a cold environment. The heat exchanger may be used also as a cooler to cool air entering the turbine to increase the power output of the turbine when the turbine operates in a hot environment.
Abstract: An apparatus and a method are disclosed for the thermal treatment of feed material containing solids and liquids such as solid waste or the like. The apparatus includes one or more coaxial rotatable drums and one or more free rotating spirals advancing the material in the drums. The material flowing through the drums is heated to form solids and vapors. In one or more embodiments of the apparatus, the hot solids and vapors exchange heat with the cold feed material. An extruder for preparing the solids being produced from the apparatus for disposal and a means for rotating the drums are also disclosed.
Abstract: An improved animal litter is disclosed containing a regular volatile material fuller's earth clay having a free moisture content of more than 7 percent but less than 25 percent. Furthermore, an improved animal litter is disclosed containing a regular volatile material fuller's earth clay in granular form. The granules are formed by compacting a pulverized regular volatile material fuller's earth clay.
Abstract: The bracket and headrail system of the present invention includes an elongated headrail for supporting blinds and a bracket for attachment to a supporting surface. The headrail includes an elongated rail and an elongated hookrail. The bracket includes a support with a distal end, a base with at least one tang, and a cam having a bearing surface rotatably mounted on the base of the bracket. Upon assembly, the distal end of the support engages the elongated hookrail and the tang engages the elongated rail. The cam is rotated such that the bearing surface on the cam engages the elongated rail opposite the engagement by the tang.
