Abstract: A heat-transfer tube with a grooved inner surface adapted to phase-transition for fluid flowing inside the tube disposed in a heat exchanger is disclosed. This tube can achieve the reduction in the weight per unit length, improvements in workability and characteristics of the tube by limiting the cross-sectional area of respective grooved section and the shape of the ridge defining the grooved section.

Abstract: In application of a biopsy needle set which is utilized for collecting diseased tissue sections from internal organs in a human body without requiring surgical operation, it is desirable to be certainly taken out the tissue sections by single puncture and to decrease injury of such diseased part in addition, to reduce pain in the patient at the time of sticking into the human body with the needle. In an end of suction type biopsy needle set containing double needle set of an outer needle and an inner needle, the outer needle is narrowed to form a closely contacting portion with the inner needle, whereby negative pressure can be accumulated in a cylinder at the early stage of such suction, while thus accumulated negative pressure is transferred to an opening of the outer needle at the moment when the withdrawn inner needle is passed through the above described closely contacting portion, so that such suction force sufficient for collecting the tissue sections is produced.
Abstract: This invention relates to an improved hot water heater and more particularly to a hot water heater which is normally utilized in conjunction with a hydronic boiler. The hot water heater has a single opening which is closed by a removable cover plate. The tank is provided with a corrosion resistant lining which also defines the opening and is so related to the tank so as to resist fracture under normal usage. The single cover plate carries all fluid connections of the tank and by removing the cover plate, all components of the hot water heater may be removed from within the tank for repair or replacement. The components carried by the cover plate include a hot water supply pipe or tube which extends through the heat exchange coil and terminates in an opening near the top of the tank. This tube or pipe is preferably formed of an insulated material or is insulated so that hot water passing therethrough is not cooled by the colder water in the bottom of the tank.
Abstract: A device for the distribution of motive power having a compact size and a light weight is shown. The device comprises a hollow shaft receiving input power, a pinion shaft with a pinion gear rotatably supported thereon, which is meshed with a pair of side gear, one of the side gear integrally formed with a front wheel drive shaft, the other side gear integrally formed with differential case coupled to a rear wheel drive shaft. Thereby it is possible to maintain the height above ground of the rear wheel drive shaft.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a thermomagnetic recording apparatus in which a chemical compound material the Curie point of which varies in response to a ratio of chemical combination in chemical compound constituent is utilized as a magnetic material for its magnetic recording medium, and the Curie temperature is set higher than the ambient temperature by a prescribed value on the ratio of chemical combination determined, thereby resulting in printing at a relatively low temperature and precision of printing in a prescribed degree.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel visual acuity chart for testing operators of computers and other apparatus employing cathode ray tube monitors for potential vision problems.
Abstract: A speed change gear shift rod with cushioning function which is performed when the speed change gear is being operated is shown. The shift rod is supported in a freely slideable manner in the direction of the shaft, within a blind supporting hole provided inside a main case. An oil containment section is provided at the back of the supporting hole, formed between the end surface of the shaft end section and the back surface of the supporting hole during a speed change operation, when the shaft end section slides to the back of the supporting hole. An oil channel is also provided in the shaft end section or in the supporting hole, making it possible to divert oil from the inside to the outside of the previously mentioned shaft end section.
