    Abstract: Method and apparatus for pseudo-synchronized paging to a mobile station in a wireless communication system. A number of paging repetitions is assigned, wherein a quick page message is repeatedly sent to a target mobile station for the number of paging repetitions. The number of paging repetitions is part of a paging instruction from a base station controller to a base station. The pseudo-synchronized method is used when the target mobile station is soft handoff.
