Abstract: Disclosed herein is a hybrid error concealment method. The hybrid error concealment method of the present invention includes a first step of calculating a side match distortion, measured when a motion vector for an arbitrary intra-frame is assumed to be zero, and the intra-frame is temporally reconstructed, a second step of applying temporal error concealment when the side match distortion, calculated at the first step, is less than a predetermined low threshold value, a third step of applying spatial error concealment when the side match distortion, calculated at the first step, is greater than a predetermined high threshold value, and a fourth step of performing error concealment based on (x,y)=?·t(x,y)+?·s(x,y) when the side match distortion, calculated at the first step, exists between the low threshold value and the high threshold value.

Abstract: An article, such as a towel, having an opening to secure a twirling mechanism thereto. The twirling mechanism having a handle extending from a bottom portion thereof and having a mechanism to permit rotating of the handle with respect to the fabric-article, such that the fabric article is capable of twirling around the twirling mechanism. The twirling mechanism may in other embodiments include noise maker when the handle is rotated.

When activated, the fluid is directed thru the head, striking internal longitudinal fins the cause the had to spin longitudinally, at high speed. The fluid is released thru holes in the head, which by the same centrifugal force driving the head along rows of bristles. When applied to a desire surface the head will scrub and clean the surface.

Abstract: A puzzle or gaming device is provided with a polyhedron housing having a plurality of substantially planar faces, each face includes a plurality of tiles and at least one opening. A plurality of response units are secured separately about each opening such that a top edge defined by the response unit is positioned in the openings and substantially flushed with a surface of the tiles adjacent the opening thereby maintaining a substantially planer face. A processor is provided and includes a pre-programmed gaming content stored on a memory. The process is in communication with light sources and switches, such that the pre-programmed gaming content when activated by the processor randomly activates or deactivates light sources promptly a user to respond by maneuvering the polyhedron housing such that the line of sight of a light source changes wherein the user is able to respond to the pre-programmed gaming content by pressing one or more switches.

Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention there is provided a pump assembly used in connection with metering and dispensing fluid. The assembly includes a valve mechanism that has a first valve disc with a first opening in fluid communication with a fluid inlet of the pump assembly and with a second opening in fluid communication with an interior portion of the pump assembly. The valve mechanism also has a second valve disc with a dispensing opening and an inlet channel. The first and second valve discs are also rotatable with respect to each other between at least a dispensing position in which the second opening and the dispensing opening are aligned making dispensing of fluid possible and at least an inlet position in which the inlet channel brings the first opening in fluid communication with the second opening so that the interior portion of the pump assembly is in fluid communication with the fluid inlet of said pump assembly.

Abstract: A pulsed plasma thruster provides for an advanced lightweight design with solid propellant and predominately electromagnetic thrust in a coaxial geometry. Electromagnetic forces are generated in a plasma by current flowing from a small central electrode to an electrically conducting diverging nozzle electrode. The thruster employs a series of electric current pulses of limited duration and varying frequency between the pair of electrodes creating a series of electric arcs. The electric arcs pass over a propellant surface located between the electrodes, forming a plasma, which is then exhausted from the device to produce thrust. The thruster maintains a low plasma resistance and cavity pressure, which in turn yields strong electromagnetic body forces, resulting in a high efficiency and consistent pulse-to-pulse performance.

Abstract: A mobile terminal having one or more of the following modes: a standby mode, talk mode, send/receive mode, and read/write mode, includes a cell array being capable of providing a cell array power and a backup battery being capable of providing battery power. The mobile terminal has a power management system that when the mobile terminal enters standby mode and/or read/write mode, has the ability to supply the mobile terminal with only cell array power. The power management system further has, when the mobile terminal enters talk mode and/or send/receive mode, the ability to supply the mobile terminal with battery power and/or cell array power. In both events, the power management system has the ability to send any excess cell array power to recharge the battery.
