Abstract: A passenger seat is with a seat back breakover assembly for preventing movement of the seat back unit forwardly past an upright position during normal use and for permitting forward movement of the seat back past an upright position in response to a predetermined abnormal load applied in a forward direction. The breakover assembly includes a controlled deformation member having a bend in one end thereof and positioned intermediate one a section assembly module of the seat and the seat back unit. The bend of the deformation member captures therein an attachment member fixed to and movable forwardly and rearwardly in unison with the seat back unit. An end of the deformation member remote from the bend is restrained for restricted and controlled movement relative to the section assembly module. The deformation member has a resistance to deformation in response to a normal forwardly-applied force sufficient to prevent forward movement of the seat back unit beyond the upright position.

Abstract: A tennis elbow pad assembly product for relieving the symptoms of lateral epicondylitis is disclosed. The tennis elbow pad assembly product includes an outer pouch formed of a moisture-impervious material. A pad is positioned in the pouch in substantially moisture-free conditions and sealed therein against entry of moisture until use. The pad is adapted for being positioned against and molded onto a forearm in the region of the elbow for lying in closely-conforming relation against and applying radially-directed pressure to the common tendon attachment and grasping and supination muscles associated with the radial-humeral joint and the lateral epicondyle of a forearm and hardened into a rigid structure for therapeutic use. The pad includes an initially flexible substrate impregnated or coated with a reactive system.

Abstract: A (modular wall block is adapted for being assembled together with a number of like blocks in stacked courses to form a retaining wall. The wall block includes a front face and rear, top and bottom, and opposing sides. A locking shear key extends outwardly from either of the top or bottom of the wall block, and is adapted for residing between respective adjacent sides of like blocks in an adjacent upper or lower course to anchor the wall block in position. A severable area is formed with the shear key for being removed to accommodate placement and orientation of the wall block between respective adjacent sides of like blocks in an adjacent upper or lower course.

Abstract: A door guard for protecting a doorframe and including a deflecting member having a vertically-oriented, planar, and horizontally-elongate deflecting surface adapted for being positioned adjacent to a side of a doorframe and projecting outwardly therefrom at an oblique angle thereto for deflecting a colliding object away from the doorframe.

Abstract: A brick molding apparatus and mold section adapted for receiving a plurality of individual clay slugs and molding the clay slugs into green bricks. The mold section includes first and second opposing spaced-apart end plates extending from one end of the mold section to the other. A plurality of spaced-apart side plates are perpendicularly disposed between the opposing end plates. A plurality of adjustable base plates are positioned between the end plates and the side plates. The end plates, side plates, and base plates cooperate to form respective end, side, and bottom walls of a plurality of individual mold cavities. Each of the mold cavities has a length defined by a distance between the opposing end plates, a width defined by a distance between adjacent ones of the side plates, and a depth defined by a distance between the base plate and an open top of the mold cavity.

Abstract: A composite gutter guard is adapted for being positioned at an opening of a longitudinally extending, generally U-shaped gutter used for collecting and distributing rainwater runoff from the roofs of residential homes and other buildings. The gutter guard includes an elongate polymer guard panel defining a plurality of spaced filter openings. The guard panel is adapted to extend laterally across the opening of the gutter and longitudinally along the length of the gutter. A polymer-coated mesh layer overlies the guard panel in an area of the filter openings and cooperates with the guard panel to capture and separate debris from rainwater runoff entering the gutter. A heat weld connects the mesh layer to the guard panel.

Abstract: A custom-formable knee immobilizer product for being custom-formed to the shape of a knee while flexible and upon hardening providing a rigid, knee-supporting custom fit. The knee immobilizer product includes an outer container formed of moisture-impervious material and a plurality of elongate knee splint segments positioned in the container in substantially moisture-free conditions and sealed therein against entry of moisture until use. Each of the knee splints includes an elongate substrate, a reactive system impregnated into or coated onto the substrate. The system remains stable when maintained in substantially moisture-free conditions and hardens upon exposure to moisture to form a rigid, self supporting structure. A flexible protective outer cover is positioned over the substrate along its length to enclose the substrate. The substrate and outer cover thus form a unitary structure for being molded while flexible to an aspect of the knee and adjacent thigh and calf portions of the leg.

Abstract: A level control device is adapted for use in a wastewater pump station. The level control device cooperates with a discharge pump to control the volume of wastewater contained in the pump station. The level control device includes a buoyant housing for being located in the pump station, and capable of floating on a surface of the wastewater. A control switch is adapted for being operatively connected to the motor starter of the discharge pump to activate the pump when the housing reaches a predetermined elevation in the pump station due to an increasing level of wastewater. An anti-accumulation surface of the housing acts to resist accumulation of grease and other waste.

Abstract: A relay circuit test extender is adapted to facilitate testing of relays and relay circuits in a vehicle. The test extender includes a plurality of elongated bundled wires having first and second opposing ends, and adapted for carrying current in an electric circuit between a vehicle relay receptacle and a removable electric relay. A male connector is located at the first end of the bundled wires, and includes a plurality of electric pins electrically connected to respective wires and adapted for being inserted into respective pin openings of the vehicle relay receptacle. A female connector is located at the second end of the bundled wires, and defines a plurality of pin openings adapted for receiving respective pins of the removable electric relay.

Abstract: A cable raceway outlet mountable to a cable raceway having a side wall terminating in a top edge. The raceway outlet comprises a transition assembly for being mounted over the top of the top edge of the raceway for supporting a cable passing between the raceway and a point outside the raceway, and a protective transition assembly cover for being positioned onto the transition assembly for enclosing the cable passing between the raceway and a point outside the raceway. A raceway cover is carried by the transition assembly cover for covering a top opening of the raceway defined by the side wall and a second, laterally spaced-apart side wall.

Abstract: A plate support bridge for an electric storage battery cell jar having a base, adjacent perpendicular side walls and opposite parallel side walls, and including a plurality of elongate support members positioned on the base of the jar for supporting at least one battery plate in spaced-apart relation above the base. A first array of said support members is provided having a first end adjacent to one of the side walls of the jar and extending outwardly from said side wall at an oblique angle thereto and terminating at a second end remote from any side wall of the jar. The first array of support members is spaced-apart from each other at all points along their respective lengths. A second array of said support members is provided and is positioned intermediate said side walls and has at least one segment positioned at an angle oblique to said side walls. The second array of support members is spaced-apart from each other at all points along their respective lengths.

Abstract: A combination handheld flashlight and audio recorder assembly. The assembly includes a housing having a hollow interior, and defining a handle for being gripped by a user. A light is contained within the assembly housing, and is adapted for being activated by the user to project light outwardly from the assembly housing to a selected area. An audio recorder is also contained within the assembly housing. The audio recorder includes a microphone for receiving sound messages delivered by the user and a memory medium to store the sound messages for subsequent playback by the user.

Abstract: A poppet-type check valve for controlling fluid flow including a valve housing having an interior and first and second ports therein communicating with the interior of said valve housing for permitting fluid flow from an upstream side to a downstream side thereof and at least one valve assembly disposed within the interior of the valve housing for controlling the fluid flow therethrough. The valve assembly includes a valve seat positioned in the interior of the valve housing, and a seal retainer positioned in the interior of the valve housing downstream from the valve seat and mounted on a stem. The seal retainer and the stem are axially moveable away from the valve seat in response to fluid flow in a downstream direction, axially moveable toward the valve seat in response to fluid flow in an upstream direction, and in sealing engagement against the valve seat in the absence of fluid flow.

Abstract: An improved tension control apparatus for use in an aero-mechanical conveyor for moving bulk materials, the conveyor including upper and lower housings, head and tail pulley assemblies mounted on respective shafts positioned within the upper and lower housings, respectively, spaced-apart inflow and outflow conveyor tubes interconnecting the upper and lower housings, and an endless rope assembly disposed within the conveyor tubes and around the head and tail pulleys. The improvement includes a bracket cooperating with the inflow and outflow conveyor tubes. A guide sleeve is carried by the bracket for receiving a push rod. The push rod extends along the length of the conveyor tubes from the guide sleeve to the upper housing and includes an upper end engaging the head pulley assembly and a lower end extending through the guide sleeve.
