Abstract: A method and apparatus for altering code to effectively hide main memory latency using software prefetching with non-faulting loads prefetches data from main memory into local cache memory at some point prior to the time when the data is requested by the CPU during code execution. The CPU then retrieves its requested data from local cache instead of directly seeing the memory latency. The non-faulting loads allow for safety and more flexibility in executing the prefetch operation earlier because they alleviate the concern of incurring a segmentation fault, particularly when dealing with linked data structures. Accordingly, the memory access latency that the CPU sees is essentially the cache memory access latency. Since this latency is much less than the memory latency resulting from a cache miss, the overall system performance is improved.
Abstract: The present invention is a fungicidal solution and method for controlling fungal disease in plants which provides for contacting the plant matter with a fungicidally effective application of an aqueous solution. The fungicidal solution is comprised of between about one-third (⅓) to two-third (⅔) cup of an organic plant matter to every two-third (⅔) gallon of a fermented solution. The organic solution may be any type of sage, tea leaves, coffee leaves, beech leaves, eucalyptus leaves, oak leaves, sumac leaves, and other similar leaves, or bark. The fermented solution contains between about (1%) one percent to (25%) twenty-five percent, per gallon, of an alcohol and grape juice.
Abstract: An apparatus for configuring CAS line signaling using plain text strings includes at least one configurable CAS plain text line signal template having corresponding associated CAS signal parameters, a memory to store the configurable CAS plain text line signal template, a trunk controller to receive and transmit the CAS signal parameter, and a processor to match and interpose the configurable CAS plain text line signal template with the associated CAS parameters. The method for configuring CAS line signaling using plain text strings includes defining in a call processor at least one CAS plain text line signal template having corresponding signaling parameters, detecting the signaling parameters, selecting the CAS plain text line signal template using the signaling parameters to create a CAS protocol, and executing the CAS protocol.
Abstract: This invention provides for filtering instructions to obtain more precise event counts with a plurality of instructions having a counter enable bit, executing the instructions thereby causing a plurality of events, filtering the instructions, activating the counter enable bit if the instructions fall within the filter, which then determines whether an event counter coupled to the event is incremented.
Abstract: An antenna for a PC card is provided. The antenna of the present invention includes a shaft, a hinge and a nub. The shaft has a first end and a second end where the hinge is disposed intermediate the first end and the second end of the antenna at an angle relative to the PC card. The nub, which is disposed at the second end of the shaft, includes a gripping surface for gripping by a user during deployment of the antenna. The gripping surface is disposed at the angle relative to the hinge such that as a user rotates the antenna during deployment, the antenna properly deploys.
