Abstract: An electro-hydraulic control system for self-advancing mine-roof supports in a high-output longwall mine is used to form a sequence zone behind the mining machine whereby individual supports simultaneously operate in the sequence of prop drawing, advancing and setting so that, during the sequence, the roof in the sequence zone is supported by at least each second support with the length of the sequence phase so depending on the cutting speed of the mining machine that it increases with increasing speed to ensure that the roof exposed by the mining machine is supported without delay.

Abstract: A cardholder for containing and dispensing business cards has a housing containing a flat spring, a cover plate for the spring for supporting the cards, and a backing plate. The cover plate, spring and backing plate are fitted into the housing, and the cards are inserted into the housing on top of the cover plate. The cards may be dispensed singly by pressure through a window opening in the housing.

Abstract: Pulverent solid sorption agent is injected into and, optionally, admixed with a stream of noxious-contaminant-containing gas and then separated from such gas. The solid sorption agent comprises an alkali-metal and/or alkaline-earth-metal compound and advantageously contains iron-III-oxide; such agent is preferably in the form of dust developed during production of iron or steel.
