  • Patent number: 7650390
Abstract: A system and a method of playing rich internet applications on remote computing devices by using a certifying player to invoke server-side web services through a single, secure, certifying intermediary server. The application player resides in the remote computing device and is configured to be executed by the remote computing device. The intermediary server is configured to communicate with the remote computing device via a network connection and to receive message requests from the application player and to send message responses to the application player. The intermediary server provides access of the RIA to the remote computing device by accessing an application server, where the RIA resides, via a single, secure and access-controlled network connection. The application player requests functionality of the RIA from the intermediary server via message requests and interprets the message responses received from the intermediary server.

  • Patent number: 7612895
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for semiconductor wafer bonding provide in-situ and real time monitoring of semiconductor wafer bonding time. Deflection of the wafer edges during the last phase of the direct bonding process indicates the end of the bonding process. The apparatus utilizes a distance sensor to measure the deflection of the wafer edges and the bonding time is measured as the time between applying the force (bonding initiation) and completion of the bonding process. The bonding time is used as a real-time quality control parameter for the wafer bonding process.

  • Patent number: 7233899
Abstract: Computer comparison of one or more dictionary entries with a sound record of a human utterance to determine whether and where each dictionary entry is contained within the sound record. The record is segmented, and for each vocalized segment a spectrogram is obtained, and for other segments symbolic and numeric data are obtained. The spectrogram of a vocalized segment is then processed using a method selected from a group consisting of a triple time transform, a triple frequency transform, a linear-piecewise-linear transform, and combinations thereof, to decrease noise and to eliminate variations in pronunciation. Each entry in the dictionary is then compared with every sequence of segments of substantially the same length in the sound record. The comparison takes into account the formant profiles within each vocalized segment and symbolic and numeric data for other segments are obtained in the record and in the dictionary entries.
