Abstract: Multilayer adhesive label which is shrinkable on a circumferential surface of a body, particularly of a dry-cell battery, including a carrier layer for an outwardly visible imprint which is covered with a transparent protective layer, whose outermost layer is formed by means of an at least axially stretched, transparent laminated foil of shrinkable plastics material. The carrier layer may have at least one cut in the vicinity of its edge extending along the generating line of the circumferential surface of the body.
Abstract: In the heat treatment in the field of a thermite weld between rail ends, the rail ends and the weld are enclosed within a containment filled with an aluminothermic material mixture. The mixture is ignited and the rail ends and the thermite weld are heat-treated for a given period. After the given period, the aluminothermic reaction products and the containment are removed, and an air quench unit is placed about the weld and rail ends and compressed air is directed at the weld and rail ends for a given time period. After the removal of the air quench unit, the weld is allowed to cool to ambient temperature.

Abstract: An arrangement for transferring castable material without pipes or conduits from a feeding point to a destination, particularly in underground mining. The arrangement includes a driven centrifugal wheel with blades. The centrifugal wheel is radially open and is surrounded in the manner of a jacket by an endless housing belt which is guided on guide rollers. The portion of the centrifugal wheel which is radially open is bordered by the guide roller which causes the housing belt to contact the centrifugal wheel and by the guide roller which raises the housing belt from the centrifugal wheel. The material is radially discharged in a concentrated manner through this radially open portion. The material is supplied axially to the centrifugal wheel through a feed tube and enters through a discharge opening of the feed tube on the vertical level of the blades into the centrifugal wheel.
Abstract: In an information signal reproducing apparatus having a reproducing head for reproducing information signals from recording tracks formed on a record bearing medium and a shifting device for shifting the reproducing head athwart the tracks, the shifting device is arranged to be operatable in a first operating mode in which the reproducing head is shifted to a predetermined extent for every first predetermined period and also in a second operating mode in which the reproducing head is shifted to the predetermined extent for every second predetermined period which is longer than the first period. The shifting device is controlled not on the basis of the output of the reproducing head in the first mode but on the basis of the output of the reproducing head in the second mode.
Abstract: A single-blade reamer (30) is disclosed with a cutter plate having a cutter blade (5) and attached to the base body (20), and with two guide strips (6, 7) disposed at the circumference of the base body. A chip-guide device (8, 9, 10, 11) is disposed between the cutter plate or, respectively, the cutter blade (5), and the first guide strip (6) following at an angular distance relative to the cutter (5) as seen from a point of a fixed external coordinate system when the reamer (30) is rotating in a proper cutting direction and/or between the first guide strip (6) and a second guide strip (7), disposed opposite to the cutter blade (5).
