Abstract: A filter assembly of coffee maker is provided. The assembly comprises an open container comprising a central well, two hollow legs, two grooves in communication between the well and the legs, and an interior, annular shoulder; a disc-shaped seat having its edge rested on the shoulder and including a central opening and an intermediate, annular raised section; a disc-shaped silicone rubber member including an annular flange at the underside with the edge of the central opening fastened therein, a central hole, and a raised edge fitted on the raised section; and a filter cup having bottom and top rested on the silicone rubber member and the container respectively. Coffee made in the filter cup may flow into the well through meshed openings of the filter cup and the central hole prior to flowing out of the container through the grooves and the legs once the well is full of coffee.

Abstract: A color image processing provides a thin-line enhancement module for a color image for finding and keeping thin lines in the color image. A boundary enhancement module is provided for finding and keeping the boundary in the color image. A de-background module is provided for removing noise pixels from white background. The color image is processed to avoid missing and/or twisting the thin lines, boundary, background, and texts in the color image after the scanning procedure.

Abstract: An adjustable wrench comprises a handle and a head extending from the handle. A jaw is mounted in a clamping space of the head and movable relative to an end of the clamping space upon operation of a knob. A clamping member is mounted to an end of the jaw. An elastic element is provided for biasing an end of the clamping member into the clamping space so as to press against a fastener in the clamping space. The adjustable wrench drives the fastener when the adjustable wrench is turned in a first direction. The adjustable wrench is turned freely without driving the fastener when the adjustable wrench is turned in a second direction opposite to the first direction.

Abstract: A hairdressing scissor assembly includes at least two pair of scissors each having a first scissor element and a second scissor element pivoted to the first scissor element. Each of the first scissor element and the second scissor element includes a handle. A first engaging element is formed on a first side of a first connecting member and releasably engaged with a side of one of the handles of one of the pairs of scissors. A second engaging element is formed on a second side of the first connecting member and releasably engaged with the other side of one of said handles of the other pair of scissors. The first connecting member can be replaced by a second connecting member having a thickness different from that of the first connecting member, thereby allowing a change in a spacing between the pairs of scissors.

Abstract: A wrench includes a head, a gear, an engagement element and a bent spring. The head defines a circular space and a crescent space communicated with the circular space. The gear includes a plurality of teeth and is received in the circular space. The engagement element includes a concave face formed with a plurality of teeth and a convex face and is received in the crescent space. The teeth of the engagement element are engaged with some of the teeth of the gear. The convex face contacts a wall of the crescent space. The bent spring is received in the crescent space so that first a section of the spring contacts the wall of the crescent space and a second section of the spring contacts the engagement element. When the head is rotated in a first direction, the gear tends to rotate the engagement element relative to the head in a second position opposite to the first direction so as to enhance the engagement of the teeth so as to avoid rotation of the bead relative to the gear.

Abstract: A flexible, auxiliary frame mounted on a flexible frame of a pair of eyeglasses is disclosed. The frame includes, at its back, a hole in a center of a bridge, two protrusions having a larger bottom at both sides of the hole, and two slots at endpieces. The auxiliary frame comprises a forward tab at a bridge, two grooves at both sides of the tab, two projections having a larger outer end disposed at endpieces, and a rear pad. The projections are matingly fitted in the slots, the tab is fitted in the hole, and the protrusions are fitted in the grooves respectively. Further, the frame together with the auxiliary frame are adapted to flexibly expand with the fastening of the projections in the slots being maintained in response to the wearer's larger head.

Abstract: An automatic power-generating device for decorative lamps has a weight-distributing plate or a heavy weight inside. Rotation of an exterior object produces an eccentric force (a centrifugal force) to rotate the weight-distributing plate or the heavy weight together with a coil and a magnet. The coil and the magnet rotate at different speeds due to the law of inertia to force magnetic field produced vicissitudes and to generate an inductive current (based on a principle of electromagnetic induction) to supply decorative lamps with power for lighting. Thus, the automatic power-generating device is able to save electricity and is convenient to be installed.

Abstract: A wrench comprises a box end having a compartment and a cavity, a ratchet wheel rotatably mounted in the compartment, and a pawl mounted in the cavity for engaging with the ratchet wheel. An inner periphery defining the compartment of the box end allows universal movement of the ratchet wheel. Retaining edges are formed on an outer periphery of the ratchet wheel for engaging with the pawl to thereby prevent disengagement of the ratchet wheel from the compartment of the box end.

Abstract: A socket for a wrench has a body with a central hole defined in one end of the body and a connecting device formed on the second end of the body. Multiple first protrusions are formed on the inner surface of the central hole, and each first protrusion has a peak with a first angle. A second protrusion is formed on the inner surface of the central hole between each pair of adjacent first protrusions. Each second protrusion has a peak with a second angle and a recess to make the second angle smaller than the first angle of the peak of the first protrusions. With such a socket, the socket can securely hold the head of the fastener with the peaks on the protrusions even when the head has been worn away.

Abstract: A cooling lubricant replenishing device for a compressor has an adapter, a flexible tube, a three-way tube, a pressure gauge, and a check valve. The adapter is adapted to selectively mount on a refrigerant inlet of the compressor and communicate with three-way tube via the flexible tube. The three-way tube has three ends respectively connected with the flexible tube, the pressure gauge, and the check valve. The check valve adapts to further connect with an extruder containing cooling lubricant, the extruder provides a pushing force to make the cooling lubricant pass through the tubes and enter the compressor. Whereby, the compressor is conveniently replenished with the cooling lubricant by using the extruder in a convenient way.

Abstract: A nail stapler includes a gun and a magazine for receiving and supplying staple nails to the gun. The gun includes a shell, a solenoid received in the shell, a puncher received in the shell for movement from an original position to a punching position due to attraction by the solenoid, a pin secured to the puncher and inserted through the solenoid, a spring compressed between a portion of the solenoid and a portion of the puncher, and a security device received in the shell for buffering the puncher when the puncher is pushed from the punching position to the original position by the spring. The security device includes an elastic end for contact with the puncher. The nail elastic end of the security device includes a plurality of elastic elements. The puncher defines a cavity with a wall for contact with the elastic elements. The shell includes two halves each including a retainer formed on an internal face. The security device defines a groove for receiving the retainers of the halves of the shell.

Abstract: A shower head assembly includes a shade, a water outlet seat, a water outlet disk, a locking disk, a water outlet panel, a mounting tube, a connecting head, and a locking nut. Thus, the water outlet seat and the water outlet disk form a smaller water chamber, thereby reducing the bearing weight of the water outlet disk, the locking disk and the water outlet panel. In addition, the water outlet seat, the water outlet disk, the locking disk and the water outlet panel are combined rigidly and stably without detachment.
