  • Patent number: 7025053
Abstract: A cutting table for large stone work-pieces, such as marble includes an axel fixed to a base, and a spinning drum attached to the axel. A brake cooperates with the axel and the drum, either stopping or allowing the drum to rotate around the stationary axel. A mounting-plate attaches to the drum, and the mounting-plate attaches and supports a rectangular frame. On top of the frame, a surface-scaffold attaches by at least one hinge. The hinge, with the assistance of a lifting means, allows the scaffold to move from a position flat upon the frame to a position perpendicular to the frame. A work-surface for cutting large stone pieces attaches to and is supported by the scaffold. To manipulate a large stone work-piece, such as one of marble, a user positions the work-surface perpendicular to the frame and rests the work piece flush next to it. The user then lowers the lifting means, thereby rotating the work-surface and its juxtaposed work piece approximately ninety degrees to a position flat upon the frame.

  • Patent number: 6607087
Abstract: An adjustable bottle stopper that stoppers a bottle by expanding a cylindrical elastic spacer within the neck of the bottle. According to the invention, the bottle comprises of: a threaded disk nut, a bolt that is screwed into said threaded disk nut, a lower pressure stamp nut in which the above assembly is screwed into, a cylindrical elastic spacer that is mounted on said bolt after performing the above steps, an upper pressure stamp that is mounted on the bolt after the mounting of the cylindrical elastic spacer, a handle nut which is screwed and locked on said bolt after said upper pressure stamp is mounted.

  • Patent number: 6564801
Abstract: A medical device for positioning a patient correctly in the sitting position when performing spinals or epidurals. The medical device is wedge shaped and inflexible. The device can have handles adjacent to the front wall of the wedge or can be used without the handles. The device is used by first placing it on an elevated surface, then having a patient sit on the device so that the patient's knees flex at the front and upper juncture of the device. The patient is then instructed to sit upright. By sitting upright, the pelvis will rotate backwards thereby promoting flexion of the lumbar/thoracic spine. On the medical device with handles, the flexion of the lumbar/thoracic spine can be augmented by having the patient push upward, palms up, on the handles. The upward pushing forces will force the lumbar spine posteriorly and further increase thoracic/lumbar flexion.
