An authentication system used by a first application for managing user access to at least one of a plurality of network compatible applications uses an authentication processor. The authentication processor receives user identification information including a user identifier and initiates authentication of the user identification information using an authentication service. The authentication system also includes a communication processor for communicating an authentication service identifier and a corresponding user identifier to a managing application. The authentication service identifier identifies an authentication service used to authenticate identification information of the corresponding user.

Abstract: A cushioning device for use with a hearing aid instrument for positioning in the ear of a user is disclosed. The cushioning device comprises a ring volume that encircles a predetermined portion of a hearing aid housing and separates the hearing aid housing from an ear canal of a user. A pliant substances is disposed within the ring volume and a reservoir which is in fluid communication with the ring volume in a manner permitting bi-directional flow of the pliant substance between the reservoir and the ring volume.

Abstract: A URL processing system and associated communication protocol enables network compatible applications to be securely integrated into any process involving concurrent operation of applications. A system employed by an application for encoding URL link data for use in detecting unauthorized URL modification includes a link processor for processing URL data. The link processor adaptively identifies and encrypts an address portion of a URL and incorporates the encrypted address portion of the URL together with the non-encrypted portion of the URL into a single processed URL data string. The system also includes a communication processor for incorporating the processed URL data string into formatted data for communication to a request device. The link processor compresses the identified URL address portion (e.g., with a hash function) prior to encryption.

A first application employs a system for encoding URL link data for use in detecting unauthorized URL modification. A communication processor includes the processed URL in data representing a web page and communicates the web page representative data including the processed URL to a requesting application.

Abstract: The preferred embodiments described herein provide a method for emergency logon. In one preferred embodiment, a method for emergency logon is described comprising the acts of providing a logon process that collects identification information and authentication information and provides access when identification information is authenticated by authentication information; receiving a request for emergency logon from an entity; collecting identification information from the entity; and without authenticating the identification information collected from the entity, providing the entity with emergency access. Abstract: A system and method for software test is disclosed that allows user management and adaptation of test procedures and the resulting test data. In an embodiment, the system and method provide a cross-platform user interface which allows testing to be conducted on a plurality of platforms, i.e. it is not integrated with a single platform or language (e.g., C++, Visual Basic, Java, or the like). The method further allows a user to customize a predetermined set of system characteristics relating to the stored test procedure. Abstract: The present invention provides a system and a method for software conversions which maps and translates data from model reports to files formatted as either Comma Separated Value (CSV) files or Flat Fixed Position files in order to migrate the data from one software systems' service to a similar service of a different software system. Using a report generated from the current system and a translation tool the data is mapped and translated to the receiving systems' conversion format. By developing standard reports and pre-defined translation templates data from one system's application can be converted easily, repeatedly and efficiently.
