Abstract: The invention is directed to a thermoplastic film package having one or more pouches for holding articles such as thermoplastic film bags, and a method of producing and filling such a package. The package is made from a thermoplastic film bag folded along horizontal and vertical fold lines such that a pouch having an open end is defined by the walls of the bag. It is non-permanently and non-destructively secured by adhesive tape or a selectively applied adhesive in the folded position such that the pouch can be used for storing articles. The entire thermoplastic film bag enclosure is accessible upon release of the non-destructive adhesive or tape and unfolding of the bag along the horizontal and vertical fold lines.
Abstract: There are disclosed opaque, biaxially oriented polymeric film structures each comprising a thermoplastic polymer matrix material, e.g., polypropylene, within which is located a stratum of voids, and positioned within each of at least a substantial number of the voids is at least one spherical void-initiating solid particle (i.e., a cavitating agent) of cross-linked polystyrene (CLPS) which is phase-distinct and incompatable with the matrix material, the volume of the particle being substantially less than the volume of the void, with one generally cross-sectional dimension of the particle at least approximating a corresponding cross-sectional dimension of the void. Also disclosed is a method of preparing the foregoing film structure by extruding into a film a combination of the matrix material and CLPS particles dispersed therein, and biaxially orienting the film either simultaneously or sequentially.
Abstract: This invention relates to a new crystalline metalloaluminophosphate composition, to a new and useful improvement in synthesizing said crystalline composition and to use of said crystalline composition prepared in accordance herewith as a catalyst component for organic compound, e.g. hydrocarbon compound, conversion.

Abstract: An adhesively laminated composite plastic film comprising at least two layers of preformed plastic film adhered together by means of an adhesive material disposed therebetween but having preselected areas which contain neither the adhesive nor anything else which is incompatible with said plastic is disposed between the layers of plastic film or on the surfaces thereof. The composite is quite usable for forming into plastic bags by either folding the composite film upon itself and heat sealing the meeting edges, or by superposing the composite film with at least one other plastic film, which may itself be a composite film, and then heat sealing the meeting edges. The preselected areas which are devoid of adhesive correspond to the heat seal areas.
Abstract: A process for producing a natural gas condensate having a reduced amount of mercury from a mercury-containing natural gas wellstream, wherein the wellstream is first separated into gaseous and liquid fractions. The treatment of the gaseous fraction includes treatment with a carbonate solution which, upon regeneration, yields an acid gas which is mixed with the liquid fraction. The mixture is then separated from gaseous components and filtered.
Abstract: An aqueous polymeric gel-forming composition which slowly crosslinks to form stable gels for plugging highly permeable zones in subterranean oil-bearing formations. The composition comprises an aqueous solution of a water-dispersible polymer present in a viscosifying amount and a crosslinking agent present in an amount effective to cause gelation of the polymeric solution which comprises a mixture of an aldehyde and a member selected from the group consisting of phenolic esters, naphtholic esters, halogenated phenolic esters and halogenated naphtholic esters.
