  • Patent number: 6854784
Abstract: In an integral drip molding in which a window guard section 21 along the front window W and a roof guard section 22 along the roof R are integrally formed, a lip section that contacts the front window W or the roof R is of a double construction, having an outer lip section 25 and inner lip section 26. The inner lip section 26 in the roof guard section 22 is positioned within a concave groove 28 formed at the portion where the roof R and the side panel 3 are connected, so that water that is forced into the rear section of the window guard section 21 flows into the concave groove 28 through a space S between the two lip sections 25 and 26. Thus overflow of water from the rear end of the window guard section to the side window is reliably prevented.

  • Patent number: 6836127
Abstract: Two reference voltages and two differential receivers are used to detect low-to-high and high-to-low transitions on an input signal and set a received signal output. One reference voltage is set near but under the electrical high voltage level and the other is set near but above the electrical low voltage level. The reference voltage that is closest to the input signal is designated as the active reference voltage. When the input signal crosses the active reference voltage digital value of the received signal output is changed. When the input signal then crosses the inactive reference voltage, the inactive reference voltage is made the active reference voltage. A dead-time is then waited where input signal crossings of the active reference voltage are ignored. After the dead-time, input signal crossings of the active reference voltage will change the received signal output.

  • Patent number: 6836204
Abstract: A technique is provided for insulating a winding or coil for an electrical machine such as a motor. The coil is wound and placed in a taping station. Multiple layers of insulating tape are applied along an end region with leads bent back from the end region. The taping station permits the leads to be then placed over the insulated end region, and the main body region of the coil is similarly taped in a continuous uninterrupted manner. The tape wrap pitch may be varied along certain regions, where increased dielectric strength is desired. Following the insulating tape application, an armor tape may be applied over both the end region and the main region of the coil in a continuous uninterrupted manner. The coil can then be finished and assembled in a machine such as an electric motor stator.

  • Patent number: 6832118
Abstract: Components designed for use in networked control and monitoring systems including dedicated memory objects which store data representative of the system, the component and the function of the component in the system. The component-specific information may include data indicating the physical location of the component in the system. The objects are reprogrammable to adapt to system changes. A system comprising the components allows the objects to be accessed via a data network. Controlled or monitored parameters of the components may thus be collected in association with the other data stored in the objects.

  • Patent number: 6830889
Abstract: A practically usable DNA detection method by a DNA hybridization method with the use of fluorescent resonance energy transfer wherein the background luminescence based on the luminescence of a donor and the direct excitation of an acceptor) affecting the sensitized luminescence of the acceptor is minimized so that a target DNA strand can be conveniently and very easily detected in a homogeneous solution. In this DNA detection method, a DNA is detected by the DNA hybridization method by using, as detection reagents, streptoavidin labeled with a fluorescent rare earth metal complex, a nucleic acid probe modified with biotin and a nucleic acid probe labeled with an organic cyanine pigment and taking advantage of florescent resonance energy transfer.
