Abstract: A mission adaptable multi-purpose, collapsible portable cart/utility table, for use in emergency response and disaster situations, camping, hunting and other outdoors activities, which carries medical rescue carts, canoes, small boats, game, or hauled cargo by hand. It transports one or more cargo bins over long, rough terrain and each bin can include one or more cabinet drawers therein, wherein upon tilting of a cargo bin from a horizontal transport position to a substantially vertical position the cargo bin serves as a supply cabinet. Each bin is openable to expose the supply drawers for use.
Abstract: A motor-less leg-powered curved treadmill produced that allows people to walk, jog, run, and sprint without making any adjustments to the treadmill other than shifting the user's center of gravity forward and backwards. A closed loop treadmill belt is formed with a low friction running surface of transverse wooden, plastic or rubber slats attached to each other in a resilient fashion. Since an essential feature of treadmill is the concave shape of the running surface of belt in its respective upper portion, curved and linear arrays of bearings are used to insure that this shape is maintained during actual use. These bearings prevent the lower portion of the treadmill belt from drooping down (i.e.—it must be held taut), to prevent the top portion to be pulled taut into a flat shape between the front and rear pulley rollers.
Abstract: The hair clippers use a self-contained motor-driven adjustment mechanism to adjust the relative position of the stationary and reciprocating blades of a common type of blade set. Two momentary switches operable by the thumb of the hand holding the clipper afford a barber total automatic adjustment with the clipper itself in an on or off condition. Since the small gear motors used for the adjustment are brush type or brushless permanent magnet motors which are operated by direct current, the adjustment feature is most compatible with cordless clippers already using an on-board DC source in the form of a re-chargeable battery to drive the reciprocating blade. The invention will be described as a modification of a cordless clipper, although AC driven corded type clippers can also be modified with this feature by the addition of an on-board AC to DC power supply for the adjustment motor.
Abstract: A women's waistless and seamless clothing adherable underwear includes an oval pad made of a soft absorbent material, wherein the pad has double sided strips of adhesive tape with removable peel-off cover strips to attach to the inside crotch area of low slung clothing pants, such as tight pants, leotards or dungaree jeans facing upward to the skin and crotch of the wearer. The material is preferably a soft, non-woven, absorbent material. The underwear is particularly suited for women who wear tight pants, or low waist hip hugger pants, which widely reveal waist bands and seams of panty underwear, or expose underwear waist bands. The underwear is minimally intrusive and is attractive for women who like to wear jeans without underwear but who fear bacterial infection or exposure to clothing dyes or irritating stitching.
Abstract: A chuck and lock system prevents the load on a flatbed truck from shifting at the destination during offloading. The system includes one or more extendable brace units or vertical stakes and a movable chuck and lock, which operates as a socket locking each extendable brace in place. The chuck and lock unit is attached to dunnage underneath the load. The units can be spaced on either side of the load where needed. The load is held on each side between the vertical braces adjacent to the load and which are adjusted for the height of the load. Straps are supported by the extendable braces and go over the load. At the destination, prior to unloading, all straps or lashings are removed or loosened. The vertical braces prevent the load from shifting sideways and causing an accident. The load is offloaded by a load lift.
Abstract: A protective covering helps to prevent fastener leaks from roof installed fasteners, which are used to mount roofing systems, such as a solar panel installation system, to roofs with a mounting bracket attached to the roof. The protective covering is a portion of flat, malleable waterproof material molded to form a cover, forming a triangular-shaped structure when viewed from the side. The triangular shaped structure includes a base and a hypotenuse portion where the line of the roof acts as a side which is covered by at least the hypotenuse portion. The hypotenuse portion meets the roof at an angle. The covering is adapted for insertion under portions of a roof shingle, and extends back in a slight rise (downwardly with respect to the roof) to cover the fastener and L-shaped bracket, which the fastener fastens to the roof.

These methods prevent the lower portion of the treadmill belt from drooping down (i.e.—it must be held taut), to prevent the top portion to be pulled taut into a flat shape between the front and rear pulley rollers.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a towing device which utilizes a towing base, wheels, and a plurality of movable tracks, a tongue hitch attachment, and a vehicle locator swivel plate. The invention can be supplied with hydraulic surge brakes or electric brakes, as well as brake and turn lights. Tie down straps are used for securing the vehicle to the dolly. The invention features an adjustable car locator swivel plate. This allows the adjustment of the weight distribution to “fine tune” the load. The tongue weight can be adjusted to comply with the RV hitch's requirements. Using the loading ramps supplied with the invention, the automobile and the golf cart can be ready for transport quickly and easily.
Abstract: A conventional respiratory nebulizer has an emergency medication dose storage system delivering the stored medication dose directly to the nebulizing chamber with a single impulse of force to a simple mechanical delivery system, thereby making the nebulizer useable in two steps: (a) opening the medication capsule with a simple opening action; and (b) inhaling the nebulized medication. The delivery system includes a plunger assembly having a pair of converging blades coming to a point for piercing a medication capsule held within a docking chamber adjacent to a nebulizing mixing chamber and a hollow needle connected to an air power source directing air through said needle, to force liquid medication from said pierced medication capsule into said nebulizing mixing chamber of said nebulizer.
Abstract: A system for displaying illuminated art which includes an electrical/framework kit and a flexible media imprinted with artwork which combine for display of the artwork as on a table lamp or hanging lamp. The media is constructed out of a flexible sheet of plastic or a fabric-plastic laminate which is preferably bowed into a cylindrical or oval shape. The framework for supporting the illuminated media includes a slot provided in a central ring to accommodate the electrical cord of an electrical assembly, whereby the lamp is pre-wired so that user assembles it without having to wire the electrical components and wires. A digital library is set up where museums or other institutions or businesses can upload images of selected artworks to be printed on the flexible sheets of the media.
Abstract: An adjustable restraining stop assembly permits a residential double hung window to be locked in a partially opened position to permit ventilation through the partial opening. The stop assembly includes an outer tube with a telescoping inner tube. The outer tube is mounted to a window sash by a removable fixation device, such as a mounting hook and loop arrangement. A convenience knob is attached near the distal end of the inner tube. Adjustment is set by placing a desired hole of a plurality of holes in the telescoping inner tube in registration with a single hole in the outer tube and then inserting the end of a fastener, such as a cotter pin, locking both tubes together.
Abstract: An mechanical power system is provided for providing torque without using a heat engine in virtually any non-aviation application where fossil-fuel engines have conventionally been used, by simply replacing the fossil-fuel burning engine with a rotary pneumatic motor of appropriate size for the application and feeding pressure-regulated compressed gas to the rotary pneumatic motor. The rotary pneumatic motor can be used virtually anywhere, and requires merely a supply of compressed gas to run it, preferably compressed nitrogen. Automotive, marine and electrical generating applications are easily adaptable, and auxiliary fossil-fuel engines can be added for emergencies where a supply of compressed gas has been exhausted. A screw-type compressor can be electrically powered to supply compressed gas to the pneumatic motor where tanks of compressed gas have been exhausted. Tanks of compressed gas are to be conveniently user replaceable.
Abstract: According to one embodiment, the energy dissipation of a structural element is increased by inserting one or more resisting elements into the structural element at any time during or after construction of the structural element. The continuous resisting elements are rigidly attached to the structural at one end and connected to the structural element by and through a damping material over at least a portion of its length. When a dynamic force is applied to the structural elements, such as may result from wind or earthquakes, there will be a strain in the structure, in a direction parallel with the longitudinal direction of the resisting elements. In this way, the forces and deformations within the structure will result in a relative motion between the structural element and resisting element, a substantial portion of which is ultimately transmitted by and through the damping material layer.
Abstract: A size adaptive base for holding micrometers used in measuring screw threads modifies the vice jaw section of the base pedestal unit of the thread measuring apparatus to accommodate a variety of micrometer sizes. The pedestal includes a two-part vice with separate jaw. The resting ledge for the micrometer frame edge is placed on the pedestal to accommodate a 2?-3? micrometer, the largest of the three sizes. The jaw with clamping screw locks the micrometer at the proper angle and position with the anvil over the well center. For the two smaller micrometers, an insert spacer is used between the pedestal ledge and the edge of the micrometer frame to lift up these smaller instruments at the proper position with the anvil at the well center. The same separate locking jaw is sized to accommodate all three sizes of micrometer.
Abstract: A flexible safety barrier edge material contacts a wall of a poolside raised obstacle with a hollow loop crossection. The loop portion is slit at multiple intervals to permit the individual sections to conform to relatively sharp inside or outside corner contours of the obstruction. A continuous stainless steel cable is guided around the respective portion of the pool cover periphery in the vicinity of the obstruction, by passing it through fabric webbing loops sewn at the edge of the pool cover. This cable is attached to a top surface of the pool wall deck using pool anchors with split loops having a cable receiving slot. The cable is looped thru said turnbuckle and secured via cable clamps and then tightened by the use of turnbuckles at either end of the cable.
Abstract: A bench top vernier caliper clamp includes a weighted base supporting a vertically extending section having a lower end integral with said base. An angle plate is removably secured to the vertically extending section adjacent a distal end of its vertically extending section, wherein the angle plate has a fixed lower jaw with a face. A loosening knob is provided for rotating the angle plate on the vertically extending section and for locking the angle plate with the lower jaw in any preselected rotated position. An upper jaw is provided having a face directly opposite the respective face on the lower jaw. A clamping knob moves the upper jaw toward and away from the lower jaw to clamp a portion of either end of the vernier caliper in place between the faces of the and lower jaws, whereby the vernier caliper remains fixed in place while measurements are being recorded.
